@Dixie: Stekelemburg?! He's an atrocious goalkeeper, very insecure and don't stop (catch?) a single shot...
here in Italy has made a bad bad impression...don't you have better goalkeepers in England? C'mon!
warspite1

Cohimbra - you know about football - I trust you will join?

I'm tempted, unfortunately I don't know the players of the Premier League...
I also know the minimum on the Serie A, I only follow my team that last year was in
Serie B and...oh, my god! now we're in Serie A and the 25th August we play against
Roma! (I think that we'll lose 0-14 or something like that...).

Near the top?

I'm a Burnley fan remember!

Cheers for the welcome, and I hope my midfield do the job for me this season

Look out for Jay Rodriguez (ex Burnley player, now at Southampton) this season as he is quality

Don't worry about a lack of knowledge, most of us don't follow teams in the English premier league. I'm happy to provide advice and Warspite has been as well. We might not be right, but we'll try!

If there's enough interest then we can probably set up similar games for the European competitions and upcoming World Cup, if the lack of knowledge about the English league is putting people off.
I chose the English league as I've already got a team set up in this game and it was free. If there are other free games based on other nations I'll happily give them a go as well.

I have been pretty disappointed lately with my team Liverpool FC.

Well, Mignolet aside, you've got to be happy with that first half. Liverpool look unrecognisable - very fluid with Coutinho, Sturridge and Aspas.

Great start to the Premier League - only 1-0 but a very good game. Mignolet more than made up for his dodgy start with a double-save from a penalty.

Well that was a good start for anyone with Liverpool defenders in their team. 6 points for Johnson already, but any who picked Mignolet gets a big 12 points, a clean sheet, five saves and a penalty save means he's a good candidate for some bonus points as well...

The fact he can't even get into the West Ham starting XI says it all really.

Doubling up on Liverpool defenders was a good move - although I think you may lose some for Agger giving away the penalty*.

Snodgrass apparently is not even in the Norwich squad today - may be that is why I got a point for Lucas (one of my subs).

* EDIT - not so.

Too bad Riise and Snodgrass weren't playing today. Every teams seems to study each other right now; no one would appreciate an 4-0 at the block.

A decent, if unspectacular start for my lot. Not helped by Wenger not starting Cazorla and Snodgrass not making the Norwich team And Stekelenburg has picked up an injury.

Still, Lambert scored and I told you all that Wolfswinkel was going to be good! 28 points from day 1, I'm expecting good things from Chelsea, because if they're rubbish then I'm buggered already! At least I remembered to change my goalkeepers before the match.

When the points update we can have a more in-depth analysis of who messed up the most! The annoying thing is I considered changing my team around to fit Benteke in but decided Villa were likely to struggle against Arsenal. I'd also considered putting Nolan (West Ham) in the team instead of Giaccherini. Bah!

This clearly shows what I know and why my advice might not be very good

23 points, with three chelsea players to come

As I detest everything about Manchester United, I can never have any of their players in my team!
