2. Matrix FC ( th1207) – 102pts (0)
4. Zeta16 (Zeta16) – 97pts (1)
5. Warspite Hotspur FC (warspite1) – 95pts (3)
6. FC Stricker (Admiral Stricker) – 94pts (2)

The same here. Between the injuries, players who moved out and those who don't play regularly (Mata ), I'm in deep.. trouble.

Coming in rather late, is Team Error.
Lineup : Mignolet (gk), Jose Enrique (d), Coleman (d), Ferdinand (d), Jagielka (d), Lucas (m), Silva (m), Lampard (m), Oscar (m), Van Persie (a), Dzeko (a), Etheridge (sub), Dawson (sub), Barkley (sub), Campbell (sub).

Jersey : Think AC Milan
Shorts, socks : black.

*edit* cannot believe I had to leave out Gerrard...

Welcome to the party pal! Being a couple of weeks late isn't a major disadvantage, it's early enough that some good selections could quite easily see you catch the rest of us.

It looks like we've got another RVP in the league! He's almost in every team, so I'm tempted to leave him out just to prove it can be done....

I've got an issue now that both of my 'keepers are crocked Which means I have to use my transfer to get a new keeper instead of Sergio Aguerro unless Stekelenburg make it back to fitness

Here's the league table, some excellent scores from Ormster and myself has seen a lot of movement in the positions. However, this should not detract from the fact that 7 of our 11 players this weekend scored more than the average points total (45) for all players. Perhaps some of the participants are playing down their knowledge levels? It would appear that the number of low scoring games was responsible for my climb up the table as those players banking on RVP scoring against Chelsea were left disappointed.

Podolski injured.

Curses on Champions League Play.

I have built my team around Podolski so I hope it wasn't a bad injury but it did look bad.

He was carried out on a stretcher in the Fenerbahce game. They replaced him but have yet to say how bad it is. From their faces it didn't look to well but what do I know.

Edit: Wenger says that Podolski will be unavailable for play for 21 days.

Problem ofc is that ManU tends to score a lot of goals , so having one of their strikers sounded like a good option to me.
He is expensive though, and the main fact that I could not get Gerrard

Well I went with two cheaper players (Berbatov and Lambert) who cost slightly more for the pair but scored more between them than RVP did last season. It's no guarantee, but Dimi Berbatov has been fairly consistent over the years so I'm quietly confident he'll come up trumps again this year. I'm not quite sure how I'd describe picking RVP, it's not a gamble as such because he is very, very good. But I feel you're putting a lot of eggs into a very fragile basket, iirc last season was the first time he's managed to go a full season without breaking at some point.

On to this weekend and there are some potentially good games coming up.
Man City play Hull, so picking some Man City attackers is unlikely to be a bad move.
Liverpool are playing Man Utd at Anfield, this could go either way depending on whether Simon Mignolet is flappy hands or quality keeper this week.
Arsenal v Spurs.... Warspite is probably the closest thing we have to an expert on this fixture
Sunderland are playing Crystal Palace, so I expect a Sunderland win. If you've picked any Palace defenders (are you mad?) I wouldn't be starting them this week....

Well, at that round atleast RVP is bad choice ofc, but I offset that with my L'pool players

This is my current team. It seems that I do not have many popular players in my team.

I see I am not the only one having issues with the club each player is tagged with. Giggs and Ferdinand for Liverpool...

The tag is marking what opposing team the player encounter in next match.

Note that there is no tag below three of my players, hence they have no match this week.

Bugger, he was my mew player for the week.

Hopefully I can change without penalty (Still worth a swap)

Still six teams to play this weekend, but today saw some big movement in the table. Like last week JeffK falls a long way on Saturday (down to 6th) but has no less than 6 players possibly in action tomorrow.

The big scorer today was Zeta16 with 43pts, and he still has 3 possibles tomorrow.

For the moment ezz retains the lead:

Previous Score + todays points + No. of players still left
1. Last Post (ezz) – 134 + 23 = 157 (4)
2. Warspite Hotspur FC (warspite1) – 113 + 37 = 150 (4)
3. Zeta16 (Zeta16) – 105 + 43 = 148 (3)
4. Matrix FC ( th1207) – 102 + 38 = 140 (3)
5. Tired & Emotional (Dixie) – 115 + 17 = 132 (3)
6. Laralayabouts2 (JeffK) – 119 + 11 = 130 (6)
7. Ormster United (Orm) – 111 + 13 = 124 (5)
8. Sardaukars (Sardaukar) – 100 + 22 = 122 (4)
9. FC Stricker (Admiral Stricker) – 97 + 22 = 119 (5)
10. Lord of the Ings (Encircled) – 100 + 15 = 115 (7)
11. Les Paul (VPaulus) – 95 + 10 = 105 (5)
12. Team Error (Terje439) - 0 + 20 = 20 (5)

See post 216

I could not post your points because I could not see your team yesterday. I see they have updated the tables this morning and now I can.

Welcome terje.
Not bad specially when none of my Chelsea players played and had a lot of injuries.
