Tonight, Wacha looked like a Romulan, except they usually lose in the end. There is a quandary here; everyone on an away team who's wearing a red uniform always gets killed: "He's dead Jim". Both the Cardinals and the Red Sox wear red uniforms. What's up with that?

Kudos* to Joe Kelly. I like to see a pitcher who fields his position.

* for those who don't know (who are many, it seems), kudos is not plural and it should be pronounced with a short O as in ahhh or observe. Having gotten that out of the way ...

That call ending the game blew, big time. I never heard of that before, obstruction? I didn't make the catch because the sun was in my eyes! They should not count that game, or if they can't do that award it to the Sox. That was completely unacceptable. That from a Cardinals fan.

I can't do that. Pronouncing it kudahs would make it sound like a dog treat.

Well if you're not Greek you get a free pass on pronunciation, just remember it's not plural and has none.

I should explain to all that kudos is not the male form of cudies, which all little girls have, in case you thought it Spanish not Greek.

EDIT: It looks like any infringement intentional or unintentional involves the obstruction rule. I thought the fielders legs purposefully interfering swayed the umpires judgment .. but this morning this was debunked.

Something funny happened over the last two days. First, I got a report that the Oklahoma sank due to an 800kg AP bomb at 184, 105. I'm sure Raiden wouldn't have taken it out of Pearl in that bad of shape. The location is a little NE of Pearl. I just happened to have a sub with a search plane next to that spot, so it could've witnessed such a thing. Then, the next day I got a report that the Maryland sank (800kg AP bomb) at 189, 101. My sub was not close enough to that loc. to have seen it. I'm sure this is just game generated FOW.

Well the Boston ZZ-Topps win again.

I forgot to mention that before that sea battle at Tulagi, I had a report of 10 Allied ships to the SW of Ocean Island. A blip wasn't displayed afterwards so I figured it was just FOW and insufficiently trained search crews. I think I figured wrong.

The Boston Taliban win again. Even as I speak they are burning the burkas they were going to wear tomorrow night if they were embarassed in game seven. I have only one thing to say to them:

Good job, you earned it.

Nothing to report, really.

There was this German tourist visiting Mexico City who, after breakfast, became ill. Guess what he was served for breakfast.

Holy cow! Looks like the Allied force acquitted themselves quite well, with the heavier units dishing out damage and the destroyers taking it on the chin to screen them. I'll bet some reptilian TF commander is about to get sacked.

I should mention that something peculiar happened the day before. That TF was headed home to resupply or rearm, I don't know what, but all the ships were at 100% ammo and none were short of fuel. I ordered them to turn their butts back and get down there because I was anticipating just such an attack.

That reminds me of my own anti-submarine tactics. After they sink all my most valuable ships, they have no more torpedoes left to attack the small ones.
