I had several cases now (all in the Air Ops tutorial and all not properly documented so far) where aircraft I had ordered to launch (either as a group or individually) for no reason changed their status from "taxiing" (or any of the pre-takeoff steps) to "readying", having them - again - loaded with the loadout they already had, together with the appropriate time delay. Group members that took off before now are in status "Forming up: 2/3" for the next hours...

Martin check the latest beta. You shouldn't be able to ready an aircraft on the elevator which was causing the traffic jam.

Hm, not sure, Mike, if that is same issue. First of all I had it happen this afternoon under Build 434. Automatically changed from x (any pre-takeoff step, not sure which) to "readying" the exact same load. If this has disabled other a/c from taking off I cannot say.
Will do the Air ops again tomorrow and see if I can nail such a situation.
Thanks,

Martin

In brass drum I have had the same thing. Luanch an AGM-88 Harm strike against the rusiian ship's jammers and all the aircraft, that were in ready status, go into a 6 hour readying status. wtf?

Game is certainly buggy. AAW patrol missions constantly go engaged offensive against target way way outside the patrol area when told in mission editor NOT to investigate contacts outside patrol area.

and on and on. $95 bucks for this? Harpoon '95 was better. All the hype about relying on weapon and sensor dynamics and combat comes down to the roll of some D&D dice????

I have seen the same very irritating events. If it is going to take six hours to plan an attack and launch a strike the aircraft should not be in Ready status it should be in preflight or something. When I see aircraft in the mission dialog that say ready with X loadout that means they are ready to go, not go into a readying status with a six hour turn around. I also noted that if you send units on patrol they launch pretty quickly but only in very small groups. It does not seem to form up groups of more than 2 very well either.

I understand that there is supposed to be a planning delay and a delay for the staging of the aircraft and launching based on elevator/taxiways etc. But a six hour delay to launch a SEAD attack is a bit much and a big surprise as I do not recall seeing anything about it in the manual.

I also had the issue with aircraft on patrol going off to attack units far out of their patrol areas, which you can not recall or plot paths for unless you cancel their mission. I think it had to do with the reference points. If I had just one point active for a patrol expecting it to loiter around there it would charge out after the first enemy target of the correct type to pop up no matter where it was. But if I gave it more than one RP it would not do that. That might be in the manual I am not sure.
