How can I transfer ammo from ammo ships to combat ships?
How can I see which and how many ammo doeas an ammo ship has on board?

The two ships need to UNREP together. When I did a minor test of this I had both ships in the same group, which didn't work. When I split them and told the ship that was low on stores to UNREP, it work.

Thanks. I'll try when I will be low on Sidewinder and bombs during Malvinas 1982.

But the ammo ship has a limited quantity on it or not?

Yes, the replen ships can run out of stores also.

In my test I had the UNREP ship running on its' own and the ship requiring replentishment running on its' own (ie, neither in a group). I then told the ship needing supply to UNREP and it met up with the AOE on it's own and got fuel/weapons. There may be other ways of doing this, but this is what worked in my (limited) test.

In this scenario it will probably not work at all, because only a few ships actually can replenish other units in the current DB3000. Most of them are placeholders right now.

Too sad. It's true. I wanted to replenish my british task force in the Falklands scenario too.

I haven't checked all of them, but looking through the database viewer it's obvious that only the US replenishment ships are actually functional right now.

I'm pretty certain that if you send your request to Rag and note that you need this for a current or near-future scenario, your request will receive very high priority.

There's a special option for ships that can be added in the database. It's called "refuel to port/starboard" and "replenish to port/starboard". This function is currently only implemented for US replenishment ships, as far as I can tell. It's not a bug, just an incomplete database.

I don't want to seem disrespectful here, but as a customer who paid about 80 Dollars for your game, I don't really see it as our job to report these issues to your database developer, especially since this isn't some minor problem like the wrong radar or something.

Refueling and replenishment were features of CMANO that were advertised several times before release, and I didn't see any fine print that said "[currently only works for US ships]".

Isn't there some way to do a full text search in the database on your system? Instead of just looking for every replenishment ship (there's probably hundreds) it might be easier to just search for "fleet oiler", "combat support ship", "munitions ship" and other similar terms, and simply add the basic refuel and/or replenishment capabilities. I mean it doesn't matter so much if the precise number of refueling lines isn't quite right yet, if the basic capability is at least added as a first step.

Hi Der Zeitgeist,

Ragnar is just asking which are most important to you so that he can get those done first - it's a favor being offered, not asked.

The database on a game like this is pretty much just as complex as the game itself. It's an enormous job and unfortunately there are bound to be typos, accidental omissions and areas that still need work. It's not a static thing - it will continue to change and be updated with each update and also as new information is available to the team. Although the release version was already the most impressive I've seen, realistically it will probably never be perfect. Reports from customers are a great help in highlighting issues and priorities and WarfareSims is taking your feedback on board.

I was told this was implemented but couldn't make it happen in some simple case tests. Waiting for more complete instructions on this.

This test port has 5 different sized piers, a diesel fuel tank, and an ammo dump(non stocked). I guess the questions for me are. What units are needed to make a functioning port? How do you get the ships/subs to replenish at the port?

I probably have to apologize for being a pretty big pain in the a.. on these forums.
I realise that may often seem a bit harsh, but please understand that I don't mean to disrespect the work of the developers here by constantly pestering them, but rather that I'm trying to root out as many outstanding issues as possible to help them complete the ultimate naval war game of this decade.

Reporting problems on the forum and actually seeing guys like Ragnar get to work on them right away is pretty impressive, and I deeply appreciate that. However, I think you should not just look on these forums for guidance about what your priorities for fixing bugs and missing features should be. There are probably a lot of people out there who don't even read these forums, and who are not necessarily interested in designing scenarios but rather play the scenarios that are already there. So when a problem comes up with a current scenario, as was described in this thread, I think that should take the highest priority for bugfixing and adding missing features, and not what complaints people like me have about certain platforms.

I mean, I paid the same money for the game as everyone else, so why should anything I'm reporting get priority over anything else, especially if it affects a scenario that is currently available.

So what I'm trying to say, please think about other customers who may not be able to read the discussions here, and don't assign any priority to certain problems only because someone plans to build a few scenarios, when there's still problems with the game as it is currently shipped.

Rudd, Blightly: The bare essentials for a port to resupply a ship are the pier facility (big enough to host the ship) and a magazine facility grouped together with the pier.

To have the ship dock to the pier, select it and order it to RTB.
