<summary>Belgian Air Force decommissioned old Israel-built B-Hunter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) it bought two decades ago./summary>
<detail>The Belgian Air Force is now eagerly awaiting the arrival of its new capacity of remotely piloted aircraft, General Atomics’ MQ-9B SkyGuardian. In 1998, the Belgian Air Component purchased three B-Hunter UAV-systems, each consisting of six aircraft and two ground control stations. The drones were operational from 2004 in 80 UAV Squadron. Thirteen 13 aircraft were in service until recently.

Two weeks ago, General Atomics was awarded $189 million Belgium MQ-9B SkyGuardian procurement. This contract provides for four MQ-9B unmanned air vehicles, two Certifiable Ground Control Stations, spares and support equipment. It covers design, development, integration and production of the RPAS with its EO/IR video and SAR/GMTI surveillance payloads. The first delivery is scheduled for 2023.</detail>

<summary>Over 200 Guard And Reserve F-16s Can Now Carry The Dragon's Eye Radar Pod AN/ASQ-236, Database nr. #3300</summary>
<detail>In a LinkedIn post, Colonel Tim Bailey, the F-16 Systems Program Manager, stated that over 200 Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard Vipers can now carry the advanced radar system. This gives these F-16s a massive leap in all-weather precision engagement and surveillance capability that can be efficiently bolted on and off the aircraft as the mission dictates.

While some of the Air Force's Vipers are getting AN/APG-83 AESA radars, also known as the Scalable Agile Beam Radar (SABR), to replace their mechanically scanned AN/APG-68 radar sets, which will bring fantastic new capabilities to this middle-aged fighter jet force, the Dragon's Eye pod offers plenty of capabilities for those jets that don't get the new radar sets.

It offers additional capabilities that are not perfectly replicated by the AN/APG-83, as well. This includes being optimized for side-scanning and certain ground and surface surveillance and targeting modes. In fact, an F-16 with the new SABR in its nose and a Dragon's Eye pod on its centerline would be an amazingly capable combination, but it will be even more essential for those jets that don't have or are not slated to get a built-in AESA radar.

Aside from the F-16, we know that the AN/ASQ-236 has been flown on AC-130 gunships and B-52s for testing purposes. It isn't clear if either of those types will actually field the pod operationally. </detail>

<summary>Saab has delivered its first GlobalEye early-warning plane to the United Arab Emirates,</summary>
<detail>The primary sensor of the GlobalEye is its Erieye ER airborne early warning (AEW) radar; weighing approximately 1 tonne, it is mounted atop the twinjet's fuselage. Saab has cited up to 450 km (216 nm) range for the AEW radar system when flown at an operating altitude of 30,000ft; in comparison with earlier versions of the Erieye radar, Saab claims it has achieved a 70% increase in detection range, achieved via the use of new technology, such as gallium nitride transmit/receive modules. According to Saab Group, the GlobalEye is capable of detecting and tracking a combination of airborne and surface targets, the latter on both land and sea, while mission times of up to eleven hours in duration are possible. The 450km range of the radar is line of sight and is limited to 450km because of the shape of the earth, the instrumental range is actually 550km.

In addition to the AEW radar, the GlobalEye is equipped with various additional sensors. These include the Seaspray 7500E maritime surveillance radar, provided by Italian defence conglomerate Leonardo; the Seaspray radar features synthetic-aperture radar and ground-oriented moving target indication modes.[6] The GlobalEye also has an electro-optical/infrared sensor, which is situated underneath the forward fuselage. Other mission equipment includes data links, voice and satellite communications and a command and control suite, the latter comprising five onboard operator stations.

The GlobalEye can be operated without any onboard operators, streaming its surveillance output to ground-based stations instead. According to Saab, the GlobalEye can simultaneously perform airborne, maritime and ground surveillance duties. It has been offered with three layers of capability: the baseline AESA and C2 system for air, land and sea surveillance, along with some electronic intelligence functions; a version with additional infrared and sea-search functionality; and one with a dedicated signals intelligence (SIGINT) system.[

During November 2015, the United Arab Emirates ordered the system, which it refers to as the Swing Role Surveillance System (SRSS), as part of a US$1.27 billion deal.[16][17] During February 2017, the UAE exercised an option to procure an additional third GlobalEye in a deal worth US$238 million.[18][19] According to UAE air force chief Ibrahim Naser Al Alawi, the GlobalEye should be a "strong force multiplier...an early warning radar which is capable also of detecting ballistic missiles, and to cover the whole domain as an air power".[6] By May 2019, lead elements, including ground control stations, had been delivered to the UAE.[12] The UAE took delivery of its first Globaleye as per schedule on 28 April 2020.

<summary>The Spice-1000 bomb (#278) and Spice-250 (#3521) also have a manual mode and scene matching for anti-GPS jamming</summary>
<detail>Spice offers day, night and adverse weather capabilities, based on its dual CCD / IIR seeker and advanced scene-matching algorithms. At close-in distances, Spice recognizes the target and correlates it to the intelligence images previously stored in its memory. As a result of this capability, Spice can overcome TLE (Target Location Error) and GPS jamming.

The Spice mission profile can be set to a specific azimuth and dive angle to suit the selected target profile, such as a steep dive angle for target penetration. Spice offers a fully autonomous operation, semi-autonomous mode or manual modes of operation, utilizing a datalink. Manual target acquisition is enabled under conditions where the seeker fails to detect the target (due to deteriorating weather conditions, or other interference), enabling the operator to assist the system in this critical phase. The manual mode enables the weapon system operator to carry ‘man in the loop’ attack for maximum control and agility.

Are these atributes programmable in CMO?</detail>

I believe the British Fort Class RFAs are a bit underrated in the DB (#43, #1604)

They should have two flight decks, hangar space for 4x Sea King and RAS capability (6 points).

I noticed a ships upgrade of two 'Van Speijk' class frigates of the Royal Netherlands Navy that have not been implemented in the database.
Those two ships were fitted with TACTAS towed array SONAR and a masking device (to reduce cavitating of the propellors.
HrMs Evertsen was outfitted likewise in 1988 (page is from Janes Fighting Ships 1986/87)
The VDS was deactivated and only used as mounting point for the towed array to keep it on the right depth and stabile.

DB is not the source of the text on platforms.
There's a separate thread.

Not obvious or intuitive but follow the link.

Bumping this. The details are not important and developers could create multiple various sized generic cargo units (that are cargo capable of course) to simulate resupply missions. thanks for considering.

ORIGINAL: orca

Is it possible to add a facility unit called generic cargo (of various sizes). It would come in handy for a scenario I am working on.

for example:
generic cargo (small)- cargo mass 5, cargo area 5 -*paradrop capable
generic cargo (medium)- cargo mass 10, cargo area 10
generic cargo (large)- cargo mass 20, cargo area 20
generic cargo (very large)- cargo mass 40, cargo area 40

category- structure
damage points- not important but possibly 1

The most strange weapon on an F-14 was a MIM-23 Hawk SAM coupled with a 750 lb M-117 bomb warhead on Iranian Tomcats. It was a kind of air to ground bomb with 20-24 km range. Due to very low precision, it was not mass produced. #TopGunDay

<summary>BLU-136 Next Generation Area Attack Weapon</summary>
<detail>The U.S. Air Force is developing a 2,000 lb.-class bomb called BLU-136 that will shower metal fragments on enemy forces as a replacement for cluster munitions, which are being phased out by the Pentagon because they leave unexploded ordnance. This weapon is four-times the size of the BLU-134/B Improved Lethality Warhead, which is now being put into production. The BLU-134 and BLU-136 are different designs. The fragmentation of the BLU-136 is non-explosive, making it a less-hazardous alternative to cluster munitions.

The only problem is that the fragmentation pattern from one of these new weapons simply cannot cover the same area as a cluster bomb, even with the ability to change the height of burst on the fly. The fragments also cannot defeat heavy armor or zero in on a particular target, both features of the Air Force's CBU-105/B Sensor Fuzed Weapon (SFW) anti-armor cluster bomb and its infrared homing BLU-108/B Sensor Fuzed Munitions (SFMs), which the service keeps in inventory specifically to help defeat large formations of enemy tanks and other armored vehicles.

The tests proved that the design of the BLU-136 was effective in area denial and would be very effective against light vehicles, light structures, and personnel. They also showed that the BLU-136 is capable of inflicting fragmentation damage on the equipment and simulated personnel targets at distances in excess of 225 ft. away from the target.

“This was a very easy test because the weapon functioned exactly as it was supposed to,” said Lambert. “All ten BLU-136s dropped as they should and met or exceeded all expectations and requirements.”

The BLU-136 is a 2000-pound class bomb body with form factor and mass properties similar to the BLU-109. When combined with the joint direct attack munition tail kit, the BLU-136 is designated as the GBU-31v11.

“The loading of the weapons and delivery of the BLU-136/GBU-31v11 was the same as any other JDAM loading or delivery for the F-16, thus proving that if/when fielded, the weapon will be virtually ready from day one,” said Lambert. “This also means that the delivery of the GBU-31v11 from any other aircraft will likely require little to no changes in loading or delivery tactics.”</detail>

You can do by taking weapons and sensors off an existing platforms in game. If you want electronic decoy leave sensor on.

Sure, ha ha so simple and easy. Rename into decoy and ready..
It is much easier than I thougth

One difference remains is the amount of hitpoints. A tank will not be punctured by scrapnel from nearby bombs and decoys will have different attributes.
Tnx

You can adjust damage by hitting the Damage Ctrl button in UNIT STATUS and then damage or destroy mounts (except sensors). Hopefully this work for you.
