Medium priority...please consider these for the next update of the DB3000...

(All of these are already in the CWDB, but were active in the 1980s or later or are "universal" land facilities and thus could be included in the DB3000, too. Since they are already in the CWDB, all the data should already be available, so I hope adding them to the DB3000 will not be too difficult.) Thanks for considering these!

I would also like Mgellis suggestion to be included in the next update. I am currently in the middle of making a nice set of scenarios that would get a lot clearer without me having to improvise certain units.

Loadout Typo, 250kg GPB, Long-Range has 500kg Bombs, 500kg GPB, Long-Range has 250kg Bombs. Also Range and Profile states the same range though one is 500kg heavier.

Please review the speeds of #2171 - JHSV 1 Spearhead -- United States (Navy), 2013, Catamaran, her cruise speed is set to 35kn, just 5 kn under full speed and not very economical

Is there a list of requests that have been made but not added? I have some ideas but I don't want to throw in duplicates.

Request for addition to database: Dutch Karel Doorman Class support ship (A833). The ship is currently in sea trails and enters service in 2015. It replaces Zuiderkruis A832 and Amsterdam (A836), see wikipedia page.

Since I cannot post links yet, these links won't work with the intentional changes'.

en_wikipedia_org/wiki/Karel_Doorman-class_support_ship (ENGLISH)
www_defensie_nl/organisatie/marine/inhoud/materieel/schepen/joint-logistic-support-ship-jss (DUTCH)

Let me know if this is sufficient, much more available but mainly in Dutch. I can translate more information if you'd like.

Thank you!

Here are a few platforms that might be worth including in DB3000 as time and workload permits. These platforms would be useful for North Korea, Iran and China/Taiwan scenarios.

North Korea:

(1) Kong Bang LCPA: Major North Korean platform for infiltrating seaborne SOF. Probably based on UK Wellington design.
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/dprk/l-kong-bang.htm
http://jsw.newpacificinstitute.org/?p=4115
http://www.harpoondatabases.com/encyclopedia/Entry1317.aspx

(2) Nampo LCP: Older landing craft for North Korean seaborne SOF based on P-6 torpedo boat
http://combatfleetoftheworld.blogspot.com/2011/06/future-of-north-korea-navy.html
http://www.koreanwar-educator.org/topics/korea_today/nkhandbooks/nkhandbooksec60011.pdf
http://www.harpoondatabases.com/encyclopedia/Entry3144.aspx

(3) nK Infiltration Trawler: North Korean infiltration ship disguised as a fishing trawler and capable of high speed. An example was sunk by Japan Coast Guard near Amami 0 Shima Island on 22 Dec 2001 and is on display at the Japan Coast Guard museum in Yokohama. The trawler is a mothership for semi-submersible infiltration boats.

Iran

(4) Wellington LCPA

http://www.harpoondatabases.com/encyclopedia/Entry3065.aspx
(NB: I think Iraq also had a few of these prior to the 1991 war)

Taiwan

(5) Hsun Hai (Swift Sea) missile boat: Taiwan's answer to the PLA amphibious threat, likely inspired by the Houbei PTG but much more powerful. Taiwan plans to build 12 of these impressive platforms in the next several years. According to Wikipedia, the christened vessel will have a maximum speed of 38 knots and a range of 2,000 nautical miles. It is 60.4 meters in length and 14 meters wide, carries a crew of 41 personnel, is armed with eight Hsiung Feng II sub-sonic anti-ship missiles, eight Hsiung Feng III super-sonic anti-ship missiles, a 76mm main gun and a 20mm CIWS. The "Tuo River" (first of class) will undergo final tests and is expected to be deployed in the first half of 2015."

It's been suggested that I copy over my list that I had started in a post to the CWDB and DB3000 posts so here's what I've got so far on the DB3000.

Suggested new Database entries:

DB3000 India: Tejas Mk.2 = currently in development
DB3000 India: Tejas Mk.3 = currently in development. Is a semi-stealthy design utilising a significant amount of composite materials.
DB3000 India: FGFA = Indian version of the PAK-FA
DB3000 India: AMCA = stealthy multi-role combat aircraft that is in the beginning stages of development.
DB3000 Russia: MiG/Sukhoi Skat = UCAV design heavily resembling the American X-45
DB3000 Russia: Mi-28 Havoc = several entries, Mi-28A, Mi-28N, Mi-28D and Mi-28NM
DB3000 United States: AH-64F Apache = significantly re-designed AH-64 with retractable landing gear and other features.
DB3000 United States: MH-60 "Stealth Hawk" = (Stealth Hawk is not an official name but from the crashed aircraft it was determined that they are heavily modified MH-60s) 2 were reported to have been used in Operation Neptune Spear in 2011.

Type classification for the Chinese Intelligence Gathering Ship-class 851 Dongdiao is Type 815.

Also thanks for having added the generic carriers! Spent some hours yesterday to model a future Russian aircraft carrier.

Australian Canberra-class LHD was already added more than half a year ago. Look for "LHD 01 Canberra [Canberra, Juan Carlos Class]". Make sure you use the latest DB Version.

Please add the TIF-25K Aerostat as an aircraft for the US Army/Navy.

In addition to this request, can you make the aircraft facilites on HSV-2 Swift (and maybe JHSV-1 Spearhead too) capable of hosting large aircrafts to launch aerostats?

Thanks

I think I stumbled on a pretty clear error. Please see attached screenshot.

The 107mm rocket launchers on Iranian speedboats are showing a warhead of 100 KG.

I am assuming this weapon is a derivative of the Chinese Type 63.

Please see this link: http://webpages.charter.net/cmjaltx/docs/IranianArtilleryRockets.txt

The Haseb is an Iranian version of the Chinese Type 63. Warhead weight listed as 0.86 KG.

FYI, from personal experience, 107mm rocket launchers are pretty modest weapon systems. Unless there is something I am totally unaware of, no way a 107mm launcher has a 100 KG warhead.

Regards,
Feltan

This a/c would be great if you also could add:

TP 85 [Sud Aviation SE-210 Caravelle III] -- Sweden (Air Force), 1972-1998, 2x
Type: Area Surveillance (ELINT)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sud_Aviation_Caravelle

(Strangely enough, the Caravelle platform is totally missing from the DB although it was fairly common back in the days.)

Thanks!

Would be nice if you could add for USA F-5E/F Tiger IIs (used e.g. by the Navy Fighter Weapons School).

Also maybe for Israel Iron Dome system?

Would it be possible to add "generic" light UAV? Both HAMAS and Hizbollah have used them.

Would it be possible to add JSM to US F-35? Alternatively or in addtion, would it be possible to create generic F-35s that includes every loadout for all the versions from different countries?

I'll add the request and we'll talk about it.

Our issue is it isn't a real load out. You do understand that correct?

Btw. If you do find information otherwise please do post it. Would change everything.

Yeah I agree. Once they sign the contract its in.

Problem with just adding stuff is somebody pops a unit into their scenario and then three weeks later the program is cancelled/changed whatever and we then update it that change can impact the scenario from a big error message to an outcome far different than what was in their design. Historically this has infuriated players and we have many more to worry about. So we tend to be very careful about this.

We are still looking at ways to allow players to mod aircraft loadouts while on the ground as well. It is on our list and we do want to one day address it.

Thanks!

Mike

Just a bump of a database fix that I had previously noted, that didn't seem to make it into 1.04. It may be only cosmetic, but on the off chance that a sub could be damaged but not sunk, and in game lose 1 of the 2 listed reactors due to damage (and therefore still be able to function), that would be incorrect.

SSN21 SEAWOLF
SSN22 CONNECTICUT
SSN23 JIMMY CARTER

all have one (1) S6W reactor plant. Not two as listed.

Best unclass source: http://www.navy.mil/navydata/fact_print.asp?cid=4100&tid=100&ct=4&page=1

HMS ASTUTE

has one (1) PWR-2 reactor plant. Not two as listed.

The US had only one submarine that had two reactors. That was the old Triton (of round the world submerged fame). The UK has never had a dual reactor sub.

As I said, it might make no practical difference except in a very rare circumstance, but in the interest of accuracy.....
