Thanks guys. I've updated our work list.

In the future in service dates are pretty important so if you find them please do post.

Thanks!

Mike

North Korea has test fired an SLBM called "North Star" (Polaris?) from a submarine.

The submarine is almost certainly a reverse engineered Soviet/Russian Golf-class, called the Sinpo-class.

Some debate whether the missiles are based on the R-21 / SS-N-5's that the Golf-class typically carried or if they are R-27 / SS-N-6's.

The latter is most likely as those are the missiles that North Korea has been parading derivative land-based versions and may have had access to Russian/Chinese stretched Golf that was used to test R-27.

I just found out that the US Army is in pretty advanced testing of a new SAM system.

It's based on the Multi-Mission Launcher, essentially a HIMARS chassis with a 15-cell (5x3) modular launcher. IOC looks like 2019, with the AIM-9X Block II (ground launch Sidewinder!) for counter-UAS and a miniature hit-to-kill Counter Rocket and Mortar missile. The MHTK C-RAM missiles can be quad packed, so a 15-cell launcher can carry 60 missiles.

No info about ranges, except the briefing mentions a platoon being able to protect 16 square kilometers (so, 4km range?) and uses an improved Sentinel radar.

quote:

Following the planned demonstration the Army expects to unfold EAPS into the IFPC Inc. 2-I program, meeting the systems’ Block-2 phase fielding credible C-RAM, in addition to Block I Counter Cruise Missile and UAV capability, to be fielded in two active duty and seven National Guard battalions beginning in 2019.

For SEWIP / AN/SLQ-32, the best I could find for service date is from wikipedia:

In 1996, a program called the Advanced Integrated Electronic Warfare System (AIEWS) was begun to develop a replacement for the SLQ-32. Designated the AN/SLY-2, AIEWS reached the prototype stage by 1999, but funding was withdrawn in April 2002 due to ballooning costs and constant delays in the projects development. It has since been replaced with Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP), which will replace the existing SLQ-32 hardware and technology in an evolutionary fashion. As of September 2013 SEWIP Block 2 upgrades were first installed on Burke-class destroyers in 2014, with full-rate production scheduled for mid-2015.[1] Block 2 improved detection capabilities; better jamming is planned from 2017, but the 2013 sequestration cuts may push this date back a year.[2] SEWIP Block 3 was tested on USS Freedom in December 2014.[3]

I tried but couldn't find any technical info but I wouldn't know where to look other than searching through good.

thanks for looking into this

The basic system is modeled and if you want the different blocks modeled we'll need specific data on those. Thanks for requesting. Will shelf until we find more.

Thanks!

I have just bought this game and am extremely excited to get into it. I love that planned platforms that didn't happen for some reason are included. My questions is what is the end time frame in terms of requests? Are we able to request a platform that is planned now for delivery in say 2017 like the Berlin AOR's for the RCN.

Thanks!

Seems to launch fine. What's your issue?

I know what OODA is but what does it stand for ? Is it an acronym ?
edit: 2 seconds search on google:
The phrase OODA loop refers to the decision cycle of observe, orient, decide, and act, developed by military strategist and USAF Colonel John Boyd.

[FIXED DB v435]

Very minor database correction in DB3000- The Argentine Type 42 Destroyer HERCULES changed its pennant number from D1 to B52 when it converted into a multi-purpose transport ship. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARA_H%C3%A9rcules_(B-52)

Based on this recommend a change in Ship_1423 to "B52 Hercules [Type 42]" instead of the current "D1 Hercules [Type 42]"

#3825 & #555 F/A-18C

Two AGM-88E only(that is, without CBUs) loadouts have a profile sending them in at Sea Level. I suggest changing it to 12000 feet like other similar Harm loadout profiles.

They have no ordnance that has to be deployed that low and get shot down for no reason.

2017 platforms are fine granted we know approximate IOC date, and have pennant number, name and tech stats.

Another plane to add....the F-101B interceptor flew with some US Air National Guard units thru the middle of 1982. The last Voodoo in US service (F-101B-105-MC 58-300) was finally retired by the 2nd Fighter Interceptor Training Squadron at Tyndall AFB in Florida on 21 September 1982

[FIXED DB v436]

Hello,
I have remark regarding SO-64 jammer ( http://wiki.baloogancampaign.com/index.php/DataSensor?ID=845 ) in MiG-29 Fulcrum A. Every serious documentation about Fulcrum A says that it doesn't have any internal DECM (only Fulcrum C and later got Gardenia). Please look at this and remove that from Fulcrum A and training variants. If you need further input from me, let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
there is link to scramble website which states that original Fulcrum A were without internal jammer and only later Fulcrum C got them: http://wiki.scramble.nl/index.php/Mikoyan_Gurevich_MiG-29

There is link to Overscan's guide to russian military avionics (search under Gardenia) which says the same: http://aerospace.boopidoo.com/philez/Su-15TM%20PICTURES%20&%20DOCS/Overscan's%20guide%20to%20Russian%20Military%20Avionics.htm

Link to presentation of polish company WOJSKOWE ZAK£ADY LOTNICZE about possibility to modernize avionics of Polish MiG-29's. It is in polish language but there are pictures and lists of avionics and nowhere is mentioned anything about internal jammer: http://www.rtl.put.poznan.pl/sites/files/WZLnr2Bydgoszcz.pdf

Link to MODERNIZATION OF AVIONIC SYSTEMS ON MIG-29A FIGHTER -- not mentioning presence of jammer in Slovak MiGs http://www.mosatt.org/archiv/mosatt2009/zbornik/47.pdf

Thank you for adding the KA-3B in the latest database, team (reported here: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=3436846 ). It looks like it isn't capable of being a tanker at this point, however, [I assume] because it doesn't have the "Wing Drogue" property that exists on the EKA-3B & KA-3B (MC) in the CWD database (N.B. the Navy KA-3B in the CDW is also missing the wing drogue property).

Thanks!

Has anyone added a unit, "mobile off shore basing"?
