You'll probably be waiting a longgggg longg long time then because not everyone has a problem with the 'ruins' in the game or overpowering weapons of war. It's what makes it fun. I'm pretty sure they aren't going to change or take out core elements of the game just to apease a few minority customers who don't like it. Best you go play or get another game like Galactic Civilization II so you can just play your tactical boring game and not have anything unbalanced entering your life.
