When changing the name of a unit with the R key, the game crashes and I get the following message (see attachement).

Thanks for posting this.

From the stacktrace, it appears that you (presumably accidentally) clicked on the "Save game" command on the main menu _or_ clicked the equivalent hotkey (Ctrl+S). Was this the case?

Also, did you have any unfinished event in the event-engine ?

It occurs when I try to save the game (just tried it again) and also when I try to edit an active event. When I clicked "edit selected event" it crashed again (see attachment).

@Sunburn, can you say something about this? Too bad not to be able to do further work on the scenario I am working on........

Just been playing around with it a little bit. I dont have any issues renaming units? At least on the German side with that whole line of U-boats.
As for the event, I dont know what happened but somehow that event is messed up lol. Cannot get it to open at all. And cant replicate it either.
And when saving it indeed gives an error, and asks to quit. Interestingly, whereas usually if you then hit cancel you can keep going, here it wont. All buttons grey out and you cant even X out of it like I normally can if i have a freeze and it goes to do not responding. Almost looks as if theres a dialogue box open somewhere (but there isnt).

But, funnily, the filter on the message log (in separate window) still works fine.

Anyway, I found that if I delete the event, saving works fine again too. And I can make a new event just fine using your existing two U-107 leaves Lorient trigger and action.

Do you remember anything out of the ordinary you did with that event deleting trigger/action from it that it used to have or anything strange? I tried stuff like saving while I am editing the event open and have only assigned a trigger and no action yet but i cannot reproduce a crashing event like that.

But if you delete and recreate the event, are things ok again on your end?

I'll try what you suggest: delete the event and make a new one. Funny thing is, I made the event for the U-boat leaving Lorient, then went on to make the line of U-boats (copying the U-710 for all boats) and started renaming them (as I did with the first boat of the patrol line, U-125). That worked fine (as you can see as the boat has the new name of U-125).
After that, I updated the game with Build 451 and went on renaming the U-boats. That's when the crashing started! So I thought it had something to do with the new build.

Can you please walk me through this. Step by step please. I need exact instructions in order to exactly reproduce the issue. Right now it's Just. Not. Happening.
