I have noticed that in the German infantry purchase list some units have the * after it
( for example: GE Rifle Plt* )

What do that sign means? (sorry, dont know the english word for it)

Its just like the USMC platoons letters ( USMC Inf Plt F, or D, or E). They will have a slightly different composition than the one without the star. It may mean that the 50mm mortar is included with the platoon, not as a group of three that a company might have, etc. Could be a machinegun attached, or not attached if that is the standard. Compare the units without the asterisk, and the units with it, you should see a small difference.
