Hey, thanks for all the screen shots. I think I'm about a week out from finally picking this up, can't wait to play myself.

The most common mistake in the game is the Allies not fighting the Germans hard enough. "But I'll lose those units." Yes, that's why it's called War.

This a2a combat took place in the ground strike phase. 2 bombers cleared thru for Germany and a dead French fighter, but the pilot survives as the fight took place over French territory.

Here is a pretty cool shot of the game asking if you want to use the notional unit after a paradrop.

I thought this attack was a bit iffy, but was hoping for a retreat at least then a 20 was rolled lol. Lucky dice for the Germans.

CW bombers and French artillery try to ground strike German troops but come up empty. Here is the reformed line as the French continue to give ground grudgingly.

Weather is fine almost everywhere again, Germany and Italy DoW Yugoslavia. Neither DoW causes a US entry draw.

The French line continues to bend but not break, how much longer this can last is the question. The French did consider a couple of low odds attacks but the best they could find was a plus 4. So they choose not to attack.

Italy, having deciding they have set on the sidelines long enough, declare war on the CW.

Blitz attack in the rain is successful. On the italian side, they move a fleet into the W. Med. to contest the CW there, but neither side finds. They do have a successful Naval air attack in the E. Med, destroying CW convoy points there.

Whoever is in charge of the Western Front is obviously a Genius. Who could withstand those die rolls

I'm sure you'll pop off a die-roll of '2' at just the worst time, when you least expect need it. That's what happens to me.

Great AAR!

In a game i'm playing I used an o'chit for a 3 hex side attack on Paris to get it taken a turn early. A 2 pops up disorganizing the cream of my army and taking out my paratrooper

M/J 40 ended on the Allied turn. There were no new partisians. And no US entry options chosen. US entry is really lagging behind. Here is this turns production.
Germany: Fighter-2, pilot x2, land-2, Artillery
Italy: BB repair
Japan: pilot, cvp x2, CV 2nd phase x2, Marine Div, Fighter-2, Inf.
China: Artillery
CW: pilot x2, BB 2nd phase, Fighter-2, Nav-3, Terr x2
France: Militia x3, Pilot, Convoy point
USA: pilot, cvp, amphib 2nd phase, transport 2nd phase, Fighter-2
USSR: pilot x2, mech, Inf x2
J/A 40 starts with the Allies winning Initiative and choosing to go first. The French hope to try and fix their line and hold out as long as possible.
