It makes sense that some of the insect/bug races are evil I guess, but what is the point in having many different insect races if literally all of them are bloodthirsty monsters?

I think the game's insect races should be more varied rather then all being bad guys.

There are some good ones: The insectoids are very good roasted and covered with chocolate. Seriously, in the canon story line, so far anyway, all the insectoids have a positive diplo with each other - and all of them have negative dilpo with just about everybody else. I guess I never saw them as evil, but as very interested in a very different frame of reference.

Yeah the insect races *do* get a bit of a raw deal in DW. It would have been interesting if the moral tendencies were randomly assigned at the beginning of the game. So in one game the mammalian types might have been the bad guys and the insects the alliance of good, while in the next game it might be the other way around.

Poor stereotyped bugs!

In my opinion only the insect races that use the "hive mind" government should be evil, because the total lack of individualism would also mean a total lack of regard for individual life. The other insect races should have mixed morality.

Along with the insects being evil, I also never got why humanoids or "good" races were never pirates.

Would you be intimidated by a man-cat that talks like Yoda?
