Well that should hold you over for a day or so, If I can I'll catch up to the 19th which is our current day.

Some filler material is I reorganized the Shipping at the off map ports.
* Abadan now has mostly TK's loading or heading there.
* Aden is getting the AP's and Large/Fast AK's for the troops and planes going to Bombay.
* Cape Town is getting just about everything else for the East Coast/Cape Town/Perth/Adelaide runs.

I also moved the AVG to China to stem the bleeding J3 is causing us there, We knock of 24 Sonia's on one of the upcoming dates
so J3 has to make some adjustments!

Combat report enclosed

PS: Any requests for reports concerning areas or specific bases? Larry and I agree we want to take back Johnston Is first
to re-establish search planes in the Middle Pacific soon... taking suggestions as usual!

Add this to your "honey to do list."
Figure out where your precious construction units (EAB and SeaBees) are going. Its not until the end of '42 when you have extras, that it isn't a priority.

I would suggest you read Alfred's post (#487) in my AAR while planning a Johnston raid.

Early Seabee's are going to build up the airfields around L.A./S.D. for Navy/Marines
I don't know if were going to be traditional and build up the southern route first. I have a distant past favorite memory against the computer where
I grabbed Tarawa first and then built it up and from there pounded Kwajalein into submission. Truk was the following target but it was a slugfest...

Thanks zuluhour,

That's probably best, I had just e-mailed Larry NOT to prep so we didn't give away which Is. we're going for.
So Larry - NEVER MIND!

How/what is the recommended method for recon the Is.? #1 is Sub recon but it's highly inconsistent (I have nightmares about recon by sub...) I figure plane recon
will require floats which means close to the Is. and using my precious CA/CL's to accomplish it.

I have 4 BB's that are going to be completely fixed in 30 days and will run them out to Pearl Harbor... maybe use that to soften them up.

IMHO the only reason you would recon it would be to abort it.

I've received some moves from John and I'm watching the combat replay and I see this. These losses for the Allies are the largest one
time losses so far. All the defenders are retreating and John captured the town.

SUPPLY...SUPPLY...SUPPLY

These are the three keys to Chinese. Defending the bases that generate it and the fuel/refineries that fuel your small amount of HI. Since you get 350 Rifle Squads per month (12/day), you can afford to lose some troops. Even a small generating base like Yenan hurts when lost. How is your MLR firming up?? Lanchow in the north is important (Urumchi way up north would be nice to hold on to, but it is almost impossible). Down south you need the greater Changsha area for its supply generation.

In late April, I've had all but ONE squad being pulled into existing LCUs. Sometimes just the shear number of Chinese can be a force in themselves even when low on supply. Turn "ON" Replacements in any base with 2x supply needed to start to pull those 12 squads per day to your LCUs.

Hey you guys:
I've got this B=17 unit that needs to be "removed" early in Feb.and it's still in Jan. so it's no crisis but
the disband and withdraw buttons aren't visible so there's no way to "remove" this unit. What does
one do with this B-17 unit to "remove" it?

Here I am!

Getting ready for another 6" - 10" snowfall (Sun nite- Mon) and not ONE damn bag of rocksalt to be found anywhere in a 5 mile area! Also the wife wanted to stock up for "Snowmageddon III" So that's where I've been.

We have been keeping up with the turns and I'm going to blow through some today... I think the gamedate is 2/16/42 so I have around three weeks to catch up on.

Spoiler alert... Western Oz is the ultimate target of J3, not that I didn't expect that... Broome, Port Hedland, Carvenon, and likely Perth.
