Commander The Great War (until patch 1.3 which temporarily shelved the game for me) - A great little game, easy to pick-up and play without lots of tuition. Now the beta for 1.4 is out I am back playing again.

(Matrix) World In Flames - Simply the best wargame ever invented. An immensely challenging game that takes a lot of learning - but the learning curve is worth it because its just huge FUN!

Warspite1 got it right.

Looking back over a whole year of gaming is tougher than I might have thought, so I will go with the best buy in wargaming : Advanced Tactics Gold.

The random game generator has given me an immense amount of fun this year : always solo. As I play I find historical parallels showing up, and in the game I am playing now I have a massive Kesselschlacht which reminds me of the Stalingrad campaign. This game is great fun, and no pushover in the AI department either. I think it is a best buy.
