March/april 1942, Axis impulse number 2:

Japan and Italy take naval actions, Germany takes a land action.

Italy flies a NAV into the Red Sea.

An invasion force sails out of Singapore into the South China Sea. Another Japanese Task Force sails into the Bismarck Sea. Convoy escorst are also put in place.

The Italian Task Force sails out of Lisbon. They manage to slip by the Allied Fleet (roll: 7) and sail into the Western Med. Another Italian Task Force sails into the Red Sea. Italian SUB's arrive in the Cape Verde Bassin. They search for the enemy, after the British fly a Skua into the 0 box. The Provence detects the submarines and forces them to stay submerged (Allied 3, Axis 6 and the combat was avoided by the Allies).

An Italian March: Crivel, Inno marcia per i legionari dell'Africa orientale

In the Red Sea, the Italian battleships are spotted on the radar of the Australian cruiser Shropshire. Of course, the faster ship avoids combat:

In the South China Sea, the Japanese don't want to fight. The Allies however, hope for a lucky shot and search. However, both sides fail to find the enemy.

The Japanese ground strike Yeremenko, while Germany does the same at Vitebsk and on the hex adjacent to Baku. The Soviet airforce intercepts. Italian and German fighters engage the Soviet pilots. The Italians abort after the Stuka is cleared through:

Germany rails Prince Paul to the outskirts of Leningrad, a Para goes to Kiev and a MECH is railed to Casablanca. German units move to attack positions.

The Soviet airforce decides not to intervene in the coming attacks, since the Luftwaffe has got a lot of fighters covering the attacked hexes.

Rommel orders the attack on Vitebsk, but decide to stay in his command post (no HQ support), the Soviets choose the Assault table:

Of course, the artillery is destroyed too, since it hasn't got a hex to retreat to. Another attack ordered by Rommel is on Smolensk:

The Azerbaidzjan oil fields are attacked by the Germans. Koniev decides to throw in HQ support. The Italian airforce and the Luftwaffe throw in ground support.

March/april 1942, Allied impulse number 3:

The Brazilian government decides it has got enough of the German diplomatic pressure on a lot of countries in the world. They decide to declare war on Germany and align themselves with the US.

So here is the national anthem of Brasil:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLvmsHlLmo0

The US takes a naval action, the USSR and the CW take land action. The French pass.

In Gibraltar, sirens are sounding again. Swordfish appear above the port, attacking the German fleet. Rolls are 1 for the Axis and three for the Allies, giving Germany 3 surprise points which is used to increase the effective anti air fire from the German fleet:

The US finishes the convoy line to send the build points out of Brazil to the French. Transports are moving throughout the world, sending units towards positions overseas. BB's sail from the East Coast into the Cape Verde Bassin. Another BB task force escort unit send to Midway, which strengthen defenses there. The US decides to initiate combat in the South China Sea (Allies roll 3, Axis roll 9). The Dutch submarines gets to get a shot at the Japanese merchantmen. They spend 4 of the 8 surprise points to call for a submarine combat and use 2 points to decrease (to nothing) and 2 points to increase damage:

Both sides decide to stay, but fail to find eachother (rolls Allies 5, Axis 8).

In the Cape Verde Bassin, Italian SB's try to find the Allied merchantmen. They roll a 3 and the Allies a 4. The Italians found a lone French BB:

Both sides decide to stay. The Axis roll a 4 and the Allies a 3. The Italian SUB commanders find the merchantment, but aren't able to call a Submarine combat due to the Skua, which in return hasn't got enough firepower to hurt the Italian SUB:

Both sides again decide to stay. The Allied fleet sees the Italian submarines on radar during the night on the surface. (Axis 10, Allies 1). The Allied admiral chooses a surface combat (4 points), increases damage using 2 points and decreases damage using the last 2 points.

The USSR rails another factory out of Moscow towards Siberia. A Siberian start railmoving from Manchuria towards the Western Front. It will take a while to arrive. The USSR hopes this turn will be a short one. Things are very, very bad. A general withdrawal of units towards Siberia is called for There is no way the Soviets can do anything but delaying actions this year...

The Britsh move more units into Birma and attack the Ethiopian TERR. Wavell personally directs this attack (HQ support used), because he might be the casualty if the Italians choose the Blitzkrieg table (which they do):

The flying artillery keeps up it's amazing high results:

A 6-1 GAR is railed by Germany from France to Gibraltar. Badoglio is railed towards Bandar Shapur.

Germany decides to make several attacks in the USSR. The Soviet airforce realises that the Germans are out of FTR cover and sends it's heavy bombers in for ground support. The attack on Baku is dangerous, but if it succeeds, the Caucasus becomes Axis controlled. Baku is a hex which is hard to take, so the Luftwaffe sends in a bomber for ground support too. The Soviet airforce reacts by sending a FTR to intercept. A FW reacts and a dogfight starts:
