Don't know how to make it work on land but at sea your combat vessels and subs all have a range for anti supply. And you can't block it. when in a port they do not do the anti supply thing.

So say you have a sub or subs set in a sea hex, the capability extends outward from there. Any troops or supply you send through that zone is interdicted and takes losses all along the route it travels through the zone. You can lose merchant marine as well.

The only way to stop it is to find the unit and destroy it.

I have never seen a merchant ship lost to supply transfer but if you transport troops or such then you risk losing some of the ships that do the transfer. This includes automatic supply and production done during the supply phase and any manual transfers you do from hqs to where ever.

If you transport your troops via transport ships or load them physically on merchant ships and sail them no interdiction occurs, then the enemy has to physically locate your convoy with aircraft or ships and manually attack it.

Scouts where something that was part of the game, back when the game was called Advanced Tactics: World War II. They where fast and had high scouting ability. What they had to do with anti-supply i don´t know.

I do know however that there is a setting that allows aircraft to cause anti-supply to happen on land. It is pretty frustrating to play with however, and i don´t think many would want to try it...

I had read somewhere on this blog that scouts did antisupply...perhaps hiding by roads in the woods. The post was an old one..a few years back. I just got the game (Gold) about a month or so ago and was looking for scouts, and the tutorials work you through scouts, but I have yet to play a game in which they are used. perhaps they are 'discontinued'.
Onwards, and thanks for the reply.

There used to be a scout SFT. It was expensive to research and hardly ever used. Not sure why it was taken out.
