Bought this last night, and when I went to install it, I got a CRC error in the setup file. Anyone ever run across this? I put a ticket in, so hopefully the issue will get resolved at some point, but I'm a little disappointed to have shelled out $80 for a game I can't play. I had most of the day to kill, and had planned on learning how to play this.

I downloaded the file again from a link provided by the person who responded to my ticket. I got the game to install with that file, but there were a few errors along the way that I ignored. The game starts, but when I try to load a scenario, it shows me the briefing, but I never get to the "select side" screen; the briefing screen closes, and I'm left staring at the world map. When I try to do things like look at platforms, etc, it tells me I need to pick a side first.

I just uninstalled the game, and tried to install it again, but now I'm getting the CRC error trying to unzip the install file even with the 2nd version that worked before (albeit with a few errors). I'm kind of at a loss now--I can try to d/l it again and see what happens one more time.

Forgot to add that I've been trying to do the install with my anti-virus turned off, per the instructions in the ticket.

Hi

Yeah best bet is to try and download again. You shouldn't get any errors.

Are you using any kind of download helpers?

Ok, at this point I've d/led this file about 10 times, with and without download managers, and tried to install it on 3 different computers with anti-virus turned off/on. Consistently, it throws a CRC error at about the 10 second mark when it starts decompressing. I don't see how it could be any other reason than the file is in fact corrupted. I'll put another ticket in, but at this point, I'm not very confident that yet another download will solve the problem.

I've mailed the support folks as a follow up. Please feel free to pm me directly if you don't hear from then in the next day or so.

In the meantime.

If you have another browser try downloading through it in case some browser helper is the issue.
Please disable any download managers unless Matrix says they're ok.

Thanks guys...will check out my ticket, if I can pull myself away from LnL: Heroes of Stalingrad :).

UPDATE: the link Paolo provided to the press section worked...I was able to install the game, and get it up and running properly. I had a problem patching it, I got another error message, but at least the game's working now. We're getting there :).
