I just stumbled across this on the Tiller site:
------------------------------
Panzer Battles

Panzer Battle wargames fit in scale between Squad Battles and Panzer Campaigns, having 250 meter hexes and platoon units. Panzer Battle wargames are designed to focus on tank battle and ranged fire.

Coming Soon!

I took the picture directly from the Tiller Store, it was the only one posted so far. Maybe it will change when a game in the series becomes available.

It's been completely redone. The game coming out will be featuring battles from Kursk. Normandy battles might be made in the future time will tell. I can't say a lot about it I'm just a beta tester but the link above will give you tons of info.

I've been playing panzer battles on the iPad and love all his titles. Right now I'm playing Shiloh how did I miss this gem on the PC years ago?

I can see where you got the games mixed up a bit rogo. The Panzer Battle maps where incorporated into the Panzer Campaigns for mobile apps. Panzer Battles has not been released yet....soon though.

Has anything been said about any new features, or is it in practice just a reskin with new scenarios ? I'm thinking f.ex. it would be good to have heavy weapons units abandon their weapons when assaulted, instead of picking them up and running as they do now in the Pz Campaign games. Also a display of the path with movement cost before confirming a move, and a less obscuring way to show reachable, visible etc. hexes f.ex. by only coloring the borders of the hexes or a central point in each hex. As long as they're thinking about getting more up to date with their games, I hope they do more than just the graphics.

I know, but that's 50+ pages. I didn't see anything but screenshots but I only skimmed through it. I'm wondering if anyone has any info they could share.

Hi PKH

In Panzer Battles say if you have a company you can break it down to individual platoons or a battery of six guns into sections of two. No individual squad weapons to pick up. this game is at a level between Squad Battles and Panzer Campaigns focusing on individual battles in a campaign.

I know the basics of the game, and I've seen the screenshots which look nice. As far as I know it's platoon units, 250m hexes, 30min turns, as I wrote in the other thread. I'd like to know if there are changes/improvements to game mechanics and UI. I'll probably get the game in any case, but there is a lot of room for improvements for these games (Pz battles/Squad battles).

You've been playing Panzer Campaigns..not battles..Battles is Platoon scale and not out on any format yet.

Well, the title is not a secret now, "Panzer Battles: Kursk Southern flank" and they release the winner of the competition with an extra winner by jury decision.

And they release to the first documentation file, the visual OOB you can find it here

but you need login i dont know if is possible put the link directly...

In general is a good option for a first title and after see the visual OOB it looks very interesting.

Will see what I can do mate.

Can't see a setting for the page to be viewed for those not logged onto Facebook...

I'd have had a blog instead..but FB seemed the easiest way to set something up and let others have their say.

Which one? Tiller's Shilo or SSI's Shilo. I greatly preferred the SSI Shilo. Played it on the C64 though back then.

After reading through the designers notes, my thoughts are that they've done a nice job on the graphics and scenarios (as usual), and that they have too little competition from other developers.

Have the beta..and I have to say it's the best JT series so far both in terms of looks and gameplay. A definite winner.
