Thanks for the comments, guys. I aim to please

. I've uploaded a corrected version of Red Storm 11, One of the towns was spelt wrong and, since I've just learnt how to add accented characters, I've decided to use German spellings for the place names. So you'll now see umlauts where they're supposed to be and "�" in place of "ss". The download link is the same: http://www.mediafire.com/download/hv2vouc1hfaqw7d/Red_Storm_11.zip

One of my towns was spelled wrong?

I intentionally didn't use German spelling. I like it that way but I thought it would leave a lot of people scratching their heads.

Yeah. According to Google maps, Eisenbergen should be Eisbergen. There have been a few others on the previous maps but I'd have to go over them again to tell you which ones. I'm going to anyway so I'll let you know when I find them.

I can understand that.

It just seems wrong somehow when I'm using the German road sign font not to use the native spellings.

Here's what I've come up with. I've managed to create a 1 pixel grid street pattern around each building.It only take a few clicks to produce. The effect is quite subtle but it looks pretty good:

How about I put it to the vote? What would you guys prefer? Town and city names anglicised as they are now or with their German spellings?

Just one request, could you edit your post and encapsulate that data in some quote tags, please? Firefox doesn't like ultra-long posts in these forums for some reason and the data overflows onto other parts of the page..

i just cant wait until all maps are revision 1.4( i guess ?)

I recently switched to your mapdesign while betatesting (on a rev1.1 map) and now i see the tactical opportunities and necessaries much clearer

I've given Red Storm 2 a facelift and it's now ready for download at the same link. I've redone the field graphics to scale, added the new urban graphics, and tweaked the elevation shading. I've also added the Inner German border.

i do like the elevation, it makes it a lot more clearer than default tbh, kind of easier on the eye and stands out more

...because its also the 'tutorial map'
(and i use it for testing cause it has all kind of units in the tutorial, so i may see glitches that not can be detected in 'Time to Dance')

I've just uploaded a corrected version of Red Storm 1. I noticed a couple of errors and I'd forgotten to add the Inner-German border to the north-east corner of the map. Same link as normal.
