I have lost worlds to Revolts, Seccessions, Silvermists and Invasions. But, never to simply vanishing before.

Found an independent colony fairly early in today's game. Dispatched a single Troop Ship to claim it. Landed and captured the world. I ordered a Star Base built overhead for Defense and Trade. It had a Hidden Pirate Base on it which I turned my troops against once the orbital Base was finished. Shortly I received the Pirates eradicated message. All good so far.

No attack messages, no revolt messages, I noticed a short time later that the world wasn't showing on my planets list. Went I went to look at it the system was listed as explored, but dispatching an Explorer ship revealed that the Base, Ships in orbit, Troops on the Ground and the entire 1200M Population were gone, and the planet now shows as 'Unoccupied'.

I wonder if I should have named the world 'Roanoke' and if we land there we won't find 'Croatoan' scribbled on every rock.

Maybe some Silvermist show up.
So far i remember you don't got a message when these attack and elemintate the colony.

Hmm, I have seen "Under Attack" Messages that turn out to be Silvemists, at least for ships.
Regardless, shouldn't some message have shown in the log about losing the world? It was only the year 2116 so while possible, I would have thought a Silvermist release to be unlikely.
