Surawese: Fun fighting. Yesterday, Mavis pirots seen enemy destroyers or cruisers moving SE near Frores in two task forces comprised of 1-2 ships each. This could-ah either be damaged ships headed for Sydney or.... raid on shipping at Kendari. This seem rike opportunity to break Boise or Repurse so Kaga and escorts hug coast of Southern Surawese and get ready for ambush. Transports at Kendari disband to port and CL/DD group moves West to join Kaga because they rikely to be outgunned if heavy force show up at Kendari.

Can you pick up the pace of operations? When will you begin operations around Taratupa? I can't wait to read about your operations to counter the exploits of Commander Quentin McHale, Captain Wallace Binghamtom, Lieutenant Elroy Carpenter, Ensign Charles Parker and Fuji - the deserter.

Akagi and Hiryu wirr refueh at Kwajerean tomorrow but both carriers are low on torps. I think we send them down anyway hoping the US carriers show up.
