Mar 30-31, 43 On the 30th the allies got lazy and didn't send enough bombers to Trico. Only SDB and TBFs...and lost 9 to flak! The base wasn't damaged, so the engineers repaired the railways... a good moment to recapture the air space over Trico! On the 31st we've moved 280 fighters there...and when the allies got back, we were waiting for them. Only sweeps...but we exchanged a good 1-1 ratio against Corsairs and P-40Ks. Georges appeared over Woodlark Island ad shot down 10 enemy fighters for no loss More ships are arriving at Maras...the KB is spotted now, east of Trico... among not less than 10 enemy subs... tense! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Morning Air attack on Trincomalee , at 31,47 Weather in hex: Heavy cloud Raid detected at 33 NM, estimated altitude 28,000 feet.
