I cannot determine what does this, and it is a frequent occurrence, about 3-4 times per GC.We've tried re-boots, closing browsers and Skype; Process Explorer shows a 70% resource utilization for the game generally, no real change but that seems very high and this is not an old box, 2 years old.

Quote: "CC has stopped responding." Using Process Explorer, is there some crash dump I can generate? Can you send us something to capture this otherwise?

Also, when you right-click and slide the mini-pane away from the right-hand bottom corner of the BG, that area does not respond to mouse clicks properly. You have to use the hot keys (ZXCVBNM).

As well: Playing on a lan, I can see the opponent trying to sneak teams thru heavy smoke obscuration laid down by mortars.
A stug will nail the sneaking sherman every time. What percentage does smoke have in limiting shots, (in this case by the stug)? Has this been game tested, does the smoke actually help? The smoke should give an almost zero probability of a direct hit, if you think about it.

The first dozen or so games in a GC end up with about 2-3 freezing. Is there not some way this can be patched or at least force the program to save the BG, map and details for the next time? A crashed game should at least be the equivalent of a "truce"
Consider that a multiplayer GC can go on for almost a year if played every day, a crashed BG means that the opponent gets the advantage of a fresh retake and will certainly not repeat his/her mistakes. SO that unbalances the GC.

Enclosed please find the attached screen shot of the crashed movement phase.
Cheers!

What version are you running? Looks like you're not all patched up to date.
A moving target is easier to spot than a hiding one.. As far as the ambushing stug, It all depends on the skill of the stug crew some are vets some are not, same for passing sherman. It won't do good hitting the front armor of a stug with a m4 sherman, it will constantly bounce off, force it to show it's sides, try to team it up or get around to the sides or back. If that doesn't work try a m10 wolverine or AT gun plus many more.

This sounds like the two games are getting out of sync. Are either of you using the 'relieve' command to swap BGs on the map during that turn? There was a bug (now fixed) with this that could cause it. Please check that both you and your opponent are using the most up-to-date patch.

Also, if you are using any mods, try playing without them.

Steve
