MISSION DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS: The intent of this mod is to bring the Star Control Universe and lore into Distant Worlds. As a huge fan of Star Control, I always felt the lack of more Star Control themed mods (and games). Right now, what's done is: Races, Racial biases, race affinity, race groups, government biases, governments, governments re-balance and implementation and race policies. What's partially done is: Racial Dialog What needs to be done: Probes as a new species of monster. Ship graphics Troop graphics Galactopedia Resource rewrite Technology rewrite Finish race dialogs Design names Make the Mmrnmhrm and Chenjesu race images better. Not all are allowed to all races. Some like the Primat are Ur-Quan only. The governments were completly reworked from the base game, and the two types of democracy no longer are a no brainer. These governments can be highly unstable, and give less research bonus. This doesn't mean it is abandoned. Expect it to be a little harder than vanilla. Installation Instructions: Unzip the file in your Distant Worlds Universe\Customization folder, start the game and switch the theme. If I get the authorization, I plan to integrate Trylobot excellent work in the mod, seen here: Thanks, kudos and credits: The soundtrack is composed by the excellent Precursors team. You can find and download everything in: http://www.medievalfuture.com/precursors/music.php Kudos to them for the music! I tried to keep uniformity, but some musics may break the pace. Overall there are two hours and forty eight minutes of music. Almost all tracks, with some left out for breaking the tone too much. I need to review it and decide in a general tone. In any case, if you want to play with the vanilla music, just delete the sounds folder. The artwork was taken and adapted from the Star Control II HD mod and The Ur-Quan Masters project6014. Thanks a lot for all the artists that worked on these projects and to kwayne64, pkunkbwok and dczanik. While I made adjustments, the artwork comes from them. Kudos to them, this couldn't be done without their amazing talent. I'm still waiting on official authorization to use their artwork, if they don't let me this mod will die.
