1.9.5.1:

(Not perfect, but a much appreciated improvement - NB the zoom levels were different; I didn't notice a difference in the main display area.)

Is this change an optional one? I was quite satisfied with the font.

I agree when it comes to the log on top. I liked the older better with smaller font and more log entries visible.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. :)

Missed that one.

The rules are not applied selectively, but the moderators are very busy and not omniscient.

I think it's an improvement.

BTW, when i loaded my save game into the beta, it reset my settings. Anyone know how to import my settings from my 5.0 save to 5.1?

There's a folder containing different versions saves and settings somewhere like user/appdata/roaming/codeforce.

I'd prefer this font enlargement be optional too. Don't like the reduced message space up top

Needs to be optional.
Preferable in options, if necessary in game (like info panel) or settings file.
I have a low dpi monitor for a reason, it worked well with the game i bought,
and making this unoptional is unacceptable for users who select their hardware based on their preferred scaling.

Its not like I can increase my dpi in any reasonable way, shape or form.
Otherwise I start writing like this in the forum, isnt pretty...

Sorry, but I cant imagine how this was released unoptional.

+100

A simple check box in options, 'Increase Font Size' would have been a better idea and would have shown that you care for all the customers, these put up or shut up updates really do not go down that well.

You should say what you prefered about the small font instead of complaining about the new font.

What is it then, it had more lines displayed? The visible text was longer?
Maybe they can continue improving it.

Try to think further than just your habits.

If I had made any comment about the old font then your argument would be valid. I did not.

I am merely stating that that it would have been better for those of us who are not blessed with a larger monitor or were fine with the font as it was to have the option to choose whether or not to enable the new font size increase.

What is that supposed to mean?

How about this... You give me a list of reasons why you think the new font size shouldn't be optional.

Edited for clarity.

So the moment the damn fonts are readable for those of us who aren't good at reading 2mm tall letters from 18 inches away (yes, I literally measured using a ruler), we have a new wave of people complaining that the font is too big? Come on. Tell me which is a bigger problem, that fonts are so big you could read them from even further away or that fonts are so small that a good chunk of people literally can't read the damn things without wiping their noses in their monitors?

Sure, making it optional would be nice but I'd definitely prefer they err on the side of usability and functionality rather than on style.

And yeah, it's really funny that some of you people can joke about a handicap other people have. That's absolutely amazing behavior, isn't it? You truly should feel proud about that.
