Indeed. Looking forward to both semi-finals.

This tournament has been very open and there has not been any one particularly outstanding team. At this point, I would say any of these four can win the World Cup. However, it must be remembered that traditionally South America has been a graveyard for European teams.

Best wishes,
Steve

Want:

Brazil vs Argentina

Do not want:

Anything else

What will happen:

Germany and Holland in a boring final in which Klose scores a boring goal to crush Ronaldo's record and gives Germany their first world cup .

What do you mean their first world cup? It would be their fouth if they do win.

Germany vs Holland is never a boring game. Too much rivalry. Anyone remember Rudi Völler and Rijkaard?

After the match, football strips/shirts were exchanged, a Dutch player is meant to have said: The only thing a german football strip/shirt is good for, is to be used as toilet paper." Not sure if this is true. But it would be fitting for the rivalry between these two teams.

I assume he means the first three were as West Germany.... don't really see the distinction if that is the case. This would be Gemany's 4th title.

Just some friendly banter for our german friends. Lighten up.

Germany 1-0 in early score.

Hulk is playing, why?

LOL Germany-Brazil 4-0 after 20 Minutes.

Pitty Brazil stood no chance against the German Reich.

I haven't laughed so much at a football match since England put five past the Germans.

Best wishes,

The US loss of 0-1 to the Germans doesn't look so bad from that perspective.

Indeed.

But one should also consider that Germany did not really need to win that match.

Well we all knew the Brazilians were poor - and without Neymar and Silva they were in trouble but......

a) Total and utter respect to the Germans - they are incredible. 12 times in 16 World Cups they have got to the semis or better

b) If Scolari has no one better in his squad than either Fred or Hulk then..........

5 goals in 30 minutes who would have thunk it. Now that makes for an exciting game.

I disagree. One can admire the German play of course but this is not an exciting match - the match is dead.

I find it exciting but that might be because I admire how the Germans play.

The match is indeed over already but that is more because the Brazilians can't get their act together rather than the result. Some time ago I watched Germany play a 4-4 draw in a game where they had a 4-0 lead in half time.

Yes but I bet they weren't 4-0 down playing like $%^&*

So ,if Brasil had stopped 6 of the seven goals 1-0 would have made it more exciting? What if Brasil had scored 6 goals in return and it was 7-6. Now that would have been more exciting.

Yep I remember that match. The germans couldn't believe what had happened. I really enjoyed the match because for once the commentator just shut his mouth and stopped talking the normal dribble that germans commentators do.

Its all a matter of ones perspective. 7-6 would have been more exciting. Offensive match Then a 1-0 match.(defensive match). Goes to my earlier point more scoring more exciting match.

I couldn't imagine a circumstance where a 1-0 was more exciting than a 7-6.

All I was saying was, I greatly admired the German play - clinical, ruthless, accurate, skilful - but the match was not exciting. It was over as a contest at 3-0 - and indeed the way Brazil were playing, probably at 2-0.

I think exciting is not the word for the game. Entertaining though.

I certainly enjoyed watching it

Can't believe it will be an all European final in South America, but I feel confident it will be and I'm definitely going for a Dutch win in the final.

After what we've just seen Germany do you're a brave man supporting the Dutch. Then again I'm Northern Irish so historically obliged to support the Dutch as well - come on the Orangemen

However 7-1 against Brazil!

7-1 !!

7-1
