I´m as lucky as Switzerland.
Made a last minute change of my prediction from 1-1 to 2-1.

Wowowowow

th1207 got absolutely right 3 matches in a row! 15 points in the bag!

He deserves the Week 2 Nostradamus Award!

And er... he can't refuse to undergo the anti-doping test!

If I had known he was that good, I would have never have let him place his missed tips.

No honestly I am enjoying checking the results and seeing just how bad I am.
Glad we managed to get a few people together to make it more enjoyable.

Yes well done indeed th1207.

The Swiss-Ecuador match was the killer for me. The only one to go for a South American win, I was one golden chance from victory......but the Ecuadorian fluffed his lines, the ball broke lose and the Swiss raced the other end of the pitch to score.

Football is such a rubbish, cruel game

Indeed. I have not yet recovered from my frustration with the opening game.

10 mins away from a great result for british exil here. These two couldn't score in a house of ill-repute.......

Does anyone know what the "Wins" column, just before the Total Points, means?

I think the player who scores the most points on a matchday will get a "win".

I've got to say british exil this is a lot of fun - great find!

I have just realised we can now see all other players bonus predictions. A few of us have gone a little awry already I think! Did I really tip Uruguay to win Group D? or Spain to reach the semi-finals?

th1207 summed it up quite nice.

Normally when we play with Kicktipp with friends then we all pay a certain amount of money into a pool. I have one game running with friends from my wife's place of work, 28 players. We also have the game running for the Bundesliga too, makes a matchday more interesting. Getting the points but also comparing yourselves with friends and family. The winner of the "league" gets an amount and the person with the highest win rate gets a certain amount too.

In our case, we have no cash game, but the daily wins still show. Divided at the end of the day with the players that scored the same amount of points. So a loser can still win in the game.

Mat

p.s th1207 where are you from?, your matrix info shows Lower Saxony.

British Exil, you forgot your predictions for the next matches. First match starting in 3 minutes

Just make them, as th1207 did. I guess no one will complain

I found these predictions really tough to call. Looks like we have a lot of variety, not just in the scores, but who will be the winner. I expect the table to be potentially a lot less close than it is now come the end of this match week....

Just gotten home, went dor a long run in the middle of nowhere, remembered that I hadn't placed my tips. Was out of internet range took me 40 min till I was able to get to a decent connection.

Will pass on the 18:00 match but will tip the other games. I will change my tip after the match so that I get no points for it.

Thx again.

Mat

That is so annoying - I always go for the emotional hedge and never back England/Spurs. I have paid for it in this competition

Watching the game I had the feeling that England was never really in control of it. The stats were brilliant, posession, completed passes. But I felt like watching a team with no idea how to break the defensive wall. Passes into the goal area were always caught by the goalie or inaccurate. Rooney had some close chances, but as so often unlucky.

There is a small chance that England can get to the next round, but it will need a very large amount of luck and Italy beating their rivals tonight and again when playing Uruguay.

2 matches, 2 goals, 4 against. 0 points. At least we are better than Spain.

By the way how are the folks over in England faring after the debacle?

Mat

Disappointed, but not surprised. Hopefully this will be beneficial in the long run by damping down expectation to a more realistic level.

None of us has France as the highest scorers in the competition, or indeed semi-finalists....

There's a surprise - we all got 3-points for the Argentina - Iran result. What WAS a real surprise was that none of us got bonus points for the score. No one could have seen 1-0....

Another surprise. Might be getting tight in this group. Will the US beat the Portugese? And then Germany?

Yet another match catches us all completely out. How did that happen? Nigeria were sooooo bad against Iran it was impossible for them to score let alone win!!!

Maybe that result, and that of the Iranians against Argentina means we should re-appraise the Asian team?
