Did you played Vanilla game and felt like playing different races lack immersion, aside from numbers in the game or viable strategies of development? You wanted to experience how to be more of the race you playing for? Then this is mod for you -

Immersion mod, adding 3 race specific things into the game:
- Unique Race-Specifics Soundtracks, matched per character/traits/nature of the race.
- Unique Front-top command pannel design, also Race-specific, using unique, race-specific creature drawings and colors.
- Race specific diplomacy screem tracks

This mod intened to be used together with Haree78 Extended Mod, and Das's Chrome mod, its advised to do so.

All races that belong to Beyond have their stripe marked.

2. Rights.
I've made mods before (mainly CivIV) and we used certain copyrighted material. I've messaged owners, and will state here and on each necessary place that certain music have all rights reserved by Author, and the main aim is to promote Artist music, with full respect to his author rights.
Consider all sets are DJ Sets, and all this done with main aim to promote those Artists music art.


3. Style. Since this is alien, space game the music will come from young/modern/contemporary experiemental/electronic/IDM/ambient musicians.

HOW TO USE:

Prior to instalation , if you install 1st time please remove all contents of folder Sounds/Music in your active theme directory.

Download and unpack the package.


The soundtrack consist of 2 parts - Alliance tracks & Race-specific tracks.
In order to get full immersion please install both race-specific set and specific race's alliance set into your theme folder..

Each of alliance packs meant to be the main body soundtrack for all races that belong to certain alliance. Due lack of any mechanic that allow automatic soundtrack recognizing, there is need to swap them manually. Find your race alliance according chart given in this post (and in OP) and copy contents of that alliance folder from Alliance folder into your active theme folder.
Contents of Beyond Soundtrack/Alliances/Your alliance folder ---into---> Distant Worlds/Customization/Beyond Extended Universe A.6 folder

Go to Race folder, and copy contents of your race-specific folder into Beyond theme folder.

note that not all racial soundtracks are done, and will be provided in next update.

Needed more modding function, hopefully Developers will add that.
For now we should suffice with just compiled playlists
Final Race lists will look like :
Specific Race List = Unique Race tracks + Family Race tracks + Traits Tracks + Alignment Tracks + General Tracks
There no way to do it , only just replace playlist per race played (could be done thru save/slight manipulation)

For now focus of this thread is to assemble:
Unique Race "Hymns"
Family tracks
Trait tracks
Alignment tracks
General track list

I would be happy to see some people listening suggested tracks (posts 2-3) / suggestion list (post 4) - this done just by "copy-paste" suggested track details into google/youtube
Some rare tracks which i possess are unaviable on Youtube, but those are very rare and few
Also i would be glad to hear more suggestions.

Tomorrow i will assign some trait tracks and sort default DW ones, and perhaps we will have some packages ready (for certain races only)

I warn - this game is Alien game, and music selected will require some alien approach, some of it highly experiemental, fitting the feel and nature and mindset of race it assigned to.

Also, side question (i've did it in other topic, but i will also ask here) - Is there any way to customise graphical UI components (not icons/button art!)- Scroll bars, Windows, Frame Edges? ? I want to create custom arts and add it into ST packages.

Also renamed Mod to "Alien Immersion : Extended"

1st Race done is Wekkarus:

1. Created race specific Frontal button design pannel. As you see we got shiney Wekkaruses there now. I've based on Das Chrome mod, so those pics will merge with Chrome mod well. This design is race specific.

2. Compiled play list for Wekkarus.

Made some color/imaging tweaks

It is an excellent idea, but I do not think that Erik/Elliot checks every post. They do check the suggestion threads though.

Great! Cant wait to see your stream for space fire dragon pilot faction! I may even start new game with Caleph myself, because i do like their designated flavor after it being made clear by a mod.

And Yea, i am composing somewhat ordered proposal for devs how to achieve it (file structure wise)

Also , bit of "mod dev blog", hehe. Next race..... will be Paratis. (Also from your extended mod :) That is very weird race. i may end playing that as well :-V
