Hi everyone! I was playing and i right clicked on an empire on the diplomacy screen... suddenly a mysterious waiting appeared... it wrote: alliance name? What's that supposed to be? I don't get it... i right clicked several times by the way... in case you wanna try that out. Someone knows?

Hello The Trooper;

The box is meant to allow you to enter a brief description of your relationship with that empire.
For instance, let's say I'm Human and have a Mutual Defense Pact with the Xenox just agreed upon.
I would double right click on the Xenox flag in the Diplomacy screen, then when the box appears,
in the box I would write "Human - Xenox MDP" to remind me I have a Mutual Defence Pact with them.
I'd put FTA for Free Trade Agreemenr or PRO for Protectorate. Just an additional way to id your race's
relationship with other empires along with the colored bars on the right of the screen as well.

Uh okay! I was actually thinking about that, but i really hoped it would a way to form some sort of alliances between several races

Ahah i suppose you're a natural pessimistic. Well then it's a memorandum, i suppose i should start using it, cause it's hard to remember all the relationships with empires especially when they're roughly 15

If you do this while in the game editor, you can set permanent alliances :D
