Note: The Non-Hosting player doesn’t get by default a “play back”
of his opponent’s turn. However, he can check the turn’s Message Log
to see what has occurred during the turn, including battle reports.
There is an unofficial playback support though, that can be activated
in-game. Please refer to the EAW forum at Ageod on this topic.

This is mentioned in the manual but I could not find anything on the AGEOD forum about it. Other than same as CIVII

If someone can point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I would love to have a playback option to see a turn again and again unfold in front of me. I certainly do not enjoy reading the log of sometimes over 400 messages every turn!

There is no nice interface for playback. That's why they called it unofficial in the manual. You have to press upper left key on your keyboard (below the esc key). Text box will pop up. Then type loadreplay and replay will load. You can pause and play with spacebar key. That's about it.

Thanks for the info. They mentioned that it was in the AGEOD forums but could not find it there. It is called the tilde key FYI. :)

I don't get a text box pop up when I hit tilde. I am doing this immediately after the processing of the turn ends before moving any new units. Am I missing something?

Should be the ` key. No luck I take it? Wow that could be a problem. Like the old AGEOD games in the day. Sure it will be fixed.

ps where are the games saved in WINDOWS 8? Should be my documents no? Cant seem to find them.

Some useful info for the player with a "German" keyboard: the key to open the command console is the "ö" ("oe").

But I have a question: after entering the LoadReplay command nothing happens in my game. What am I doing wrong ? Is the full path to the saved files necessary ? (In the "?" help section of the command console this seems to be the command format. If so, which file or folder needs to be indicated ?
