I decided to have a little fun with counters and have been working on some new counters. What do you think? Do you like them or not? Which ones do you like, which ones don't you like? I would like your opinion. I am not an artist, but I do like to play around a little with mods.

I like the designs a lot but prefer them a little more subtle; more transparent, closer to the top right images.Otherwise they may seem too busy IMHO
The map images in particular are interesting...again...IMHO

Very nice. The camo ones might be too busy, though.

I like the camo, but a little more subtle.
Play with opacities
Here's one I did in a couple of minutes
,...there are probably a lot of ways to spruce these up

Wow. Nice.

I too like the idea of the Camo, but more subdued so the unit silhouettes stand out better.

Great counter JAMM... I would love that silo in game but the counter info would cover much of the great work. The camo we could use though

Jamm, how big is the image? How does it look in game at size? I like the look too BTW. The trick on counter backgrounds is being subtle enough not to make seeing the information difficult, but being rich enough to be seen and distinctive. It can be a juggling act.

I like the "speckled" look. Seems a good way to add texture to the counters without interfering with the other data.

I want my counters to remain distinctive at 70% zoom. For me, my eyes, and the screen size I use, that's as small as I can go and be able to read most of the info on the counter. And I think I'd like the option to always have the counter be a mil graphic instead of a sil. But then, I spent a lot of time with grease pencil and combat acetate (after upgrading from sharpened dino-bones and clay tablets)

Capn,
That image is 300x300, just used a template from a print project.
I see that in game is 64x64.
I'll have a try next week and see what can be done.
