When you start a DCG an choose your side, size of unit and time period you are sometimes given a choice of different units to choose from. Like if you pick a German Armor Battalion to start a campaign there may be a number of Corps to choose the unit from then a number of lettered regiments to choose from the maybe even a few different Battalions to choose from.

Is there a listing of what units is in these different choices?

In your Manuals folder, there is a document called "DCG_Division_Type_Explanation.doc".

That should answer your question.

Further to that, the German armoured formations should follow a historical upgrade path, for East Front anyway.
