The time is June 1945.... points 5000 each...

The Rising sun has already faced the dark clouds enveloping its ray... Meanwhile, Colonel Tatsumi pondered over the map , doubly sure what will face him and his troops in the coming battle...But he prayed earnestly that the Divine Wind will help him to protect the Empire..

The Cavalry scout has already reported american scouts car in the center field, with accompanying soldiers, possibly rangers...the dreaded elite soldiers of the enemy...

Finally... Tatsumi-san received order to advance... He sent the conscript Korean Guards to advance . Not long after that , the advance guards met contact with an M20, and destroyed it (with the help of new prototype tank), along with its mortar crew occupants...

The search around the body, reveals that the enemy is not just regular soldiers..... Blurred , drunk after drinking the sake ration, the Korean conscript shouted with dread... "Rangers...."

Then , as if to double the fear, the tank crew from 4th Recon company spotted gigantic enemy tank from afar, and got shot... Luckily they escape unharmed..who knows what happened next ??

Shaking, but determined, Tatsumi-san waited for the coming and also dreaded american artillery barrage...

Mlomax, your turn , please :)

"What a great day for War!!" Exclaimed General Lomax after watching the rising sun. He had sent out scouts earlier and had lost contact with one of his scout cars already. It was possibly an ambush, the last message sent was tank and troops in the middle sector.

At the same moment one of his recon tanks fired on a tank in the open but it slipped away. The time would come when these two tanks would meet again

An hour later he also had contact in the south with the Mongolian horde. His scout car in the sector reported 6 squads of guards and also possible light tank support backing them up.

The casulty list had already started with the tortue of a ranger section. These evil Japanese had to be delt with and a uncondiontional surrender would be to easy for them. General Lomax had decided that only the total destruction of the force before him would make up for the lives of his fellow soldiers that had fallen.

Things does not look right for the advance korean guard section... with grim looks, Tatsumi-san ordered all out attack to the death... and spare no one with the weapon

In the middle sector, the spotted american scout car has retreated.. Lt. Ogata from Korean Light Cavalry pursued the sneaky M20, intending to assault it, only to be pinned down by withering fire from the enemy..

Intending to help him, Sgt Akiyama drove his tank forward..but alas, his luck does not carry him too far. Being attacked from two flank, his nerve floundered, and he ordered crew to bail out. Fortunately all are safe.

In the south, Sgt Jorchi and Jamuga from Mongolian/Manchurian conscript squad decided to assault another sneaky scout car and succeded, with all crews died.

Meanwhile , back in HQ, Tatsumi San ordered his reserve , detachment from 8th Infantry regiment to advance. Fresh from homeland, he hoped that their morale is high enough to continue advance, especially under heavy american artillery barrage that was coming down.

He also prayed that the mixed Korean / Mongol / Manchu troops can hold out long enough , ... to give him enough time until the reinforcement that was promised to him arrived, in the form of 229th Inf from famed "Sendai" Division and the battle-hardened Tokubetsu Rikusentai from Java and Sumatra Islands.

The loss of another scout car brings General Lomax to deep thought. Should he advance in this area or should attack in another. This will be the decision that decides the outcome of the battle.

The enemy armor shows to be ineffective for the match of the might of the great U.S. Army. But the artillary of the enemy seems to have been more effective than early reports had reported.

General Lomax looks out from his command post and makes his decision and fate for the evil enemy of Japan.

"Major Igarashi reporting for duty, sir"...

with him, came the good news.. 2 companies of Yokosuka Rikusentai had arrived.

In the south , despite having killed the american scouts car, more are reported to be coming, and even bigger .. which puts Tatsumi san in worries. The divisional artillery that has been promised to him is still not coming, and his divisional commander have brought him the bad news that the airforce might not be coming at all.

The korean guards reported several big american tanks coming , strangely, they haven't spotted any infantry at all. Where are the
Americans ? will they come out and fight ? or are they planning something big ? , Tatsumi-san thinks..

In the northern sector, all are pretty quiet.. no enemy movement detected. while in the middle, Major Jung-Yo-Hyun from 1st Company, 12th Korean Guards Regiment went down with injury, along with a quarter of his troops, brought down by american artillery bombardment.

Taking up his brush, Tatsumi san writes down his request to the divisional HQ, requesting more reinforcement.

As General Lomax surveys his terrain map he overlooks what has happened in the most recent battles.

In the southern sector he has suppressed the enemy with artillary an armor, but how long will this keep them hiding behind the bushes.

In the center sector he found a enemy tank poking his head out and destroyed him.

In the north thought, General Lomax's luck ran out for the day as he lost a halftrack to the enemy Infantry.

The day draws to an end. What could be in store for General Lomax tommorrow is anyone's guess.

Tatsumi-san is a bit dismayed after hearing that his southern advance guards were pinned down by enemy barrage.. several went down.. but many still hold on.. The Manchu squad reported one american big tanks , and immediately Tatsumi-san dispatched his last resource, 1st company of 32th Mobile Artillery Battallion, as all of his tanks were gone by now.

The Sasebo Rikusentai and Bandasan Naval Battallion have arrived, but Tatsumi-san really worries whether they will be enough to stop the mighty american units, fully supported by their artillery and armor.

In the north, things are still quiet. while in the center, fierce firefight between the Korean guards and American rangers ensued. The Rangers were pushed back, but the Korean Guards cannot move forward, for fear of american tanks that stood menacingly in support of the rangers. One squad of american anti-tank unit was wiped out successfully by Lt Kim Jyo Hun from Korean Guards. Tatsumi-san carefully wrote his name for recommendation to higher office

General Lomax has decided that the enemy front is no match to his Soldiers. Therefore he has decided that the attack will move forward as planned and enemy troops will die.:p
