I googled a sensor and was brought to a book called The Naval Institute Guide To Naval Weapons Systems.
I thought I would share the link to those that may have missed it. It's a nice guide for those needing more info on sensors and weapons. You can actually search the book.

There is also a newer version from 2006

The book is avaliable as preview but you can still find a lot of info.
