Since my last post got moved to tech support for some inexplicable reason, lets try this again.

What affects naval gunfire accuracy on fixed land installations? The radar does NOT target the installation directly as there's no target line as there is to other ships. Perhaps active radar is used to track the shell traverse? Would this be a function of the system age ie forget about it for 70s tech?

Beyond that, does speed and heading have any effect? Can you use choppers as forward observers if you have any?

I'm primarily interested in what can I do on my end to affect the accuracy if anything.. I presume going closer at least is beneficial but this tends to be beneficial for coastal batteries as well
