I'm just curious, I've brought up the component guide screen a few times, but always on accident. Anyone know how to bring it up? Like the keystroke/clicking pattern. I have yet to figure it out...

From inside the research screen? No, I don't know. However, you can open the component guide for any part you already have from within the Ship Designer by selecting the part in either the list of components in the design or by selecting the part in the list of components you could add to the design and clicking on the button that says 'Component Guide,' which if I recall correctly is below the list of components you could add to the design.

The only thing that the component guide adds which isn't present in the research tool tip is the resource cost of the component, and in my opinion that is not generally that much of a concern, anyways.
