Another one of the places I'd like to visit next is Espirto Santo and it's got just a light garrison so I'm thinking one of my SNLF units
ought to be able to get ashore okay. Especially with some help from bombarding ships.

Here in T4 I put together a stack of ships and drove it up against Fort Drum and evaporated the guns there. Now to threaten
Manila.

Tom sent a couple of carriers up near Midway to investigate and he sank about 4 of my aircraft carriers so to get even I put
together a stack of BB's and CL's and drove into his TF and sank a lot of them. I'm going after all of them.

Sinking the two American carriers was one better than the historical Midway; but the loss of four Japanese carriers
will hurt. However, this will leave the American short
of carriers for the next six months or so--meaning, it's
time to expand the Empire as much as possible; the allies won't be able to do much to stop you before then.

I think so too. My plan is to expand to the south from Rabaul down to Espirit Santo and maybe Fiji depending. Also, to
try to expand into India and Burma and to contain the Chinese Armies. Once the PI is subdued Borneo and the Cebeles
are next. And then Java. I'm toying with the thought that maybe after I've isolated the Australian continent from the West
Coast of the US that it might be possible to invade OZ along the north coast and move into the east coast and move south
to Sydney and Melborne. In other words, world domination.

The US Navy no longer exists in the Pacific. All 6 carriers are gone along with nearly all their screening ships. That is what happens when you have surface action with the Imperial Japanese Navy.

Now before I make the Rocky Mountains my first line of defense, the Japanese lost most of their carriers as well. The Japanese can now overrun a lot of the Pacific but we shall see if they are up to it. There are still a lot of allied troops to defeat and the main weapon of the allies, air power, has not been affected.

No more surface action for the US Navy, that lesson has be learned.

The garrison at Midway was so weak that it evaporated when I assaulted my way ashore. Midway is miine. I'm going to fly a
Mavis unit to Midway and set it for Sea Interdiction. The arc will include the Pearl Harbor area.

Here's the Manila area now. I'm shipping in more and more people to help the take-down process. I estimate another 5 turns
or so until I have Manila.

Here's the Bangkok area now. I'm assaulting across the river into Burma and I'm working my way south into Malaya.
I'm going to run some engineers up to the river and make a crossing into the Allied rear areas.

This is a Mavis group parked at Midway and as you can see the search arc includes Pearl Harbor. Cool.

This is the Bangkok area now. I'm pushing at the river Kwai to get into Burma and the front lines in Malaya are pushing south
and trying to get to Singapore and the Manila area is still hot and I'm looking hard at Borneo and Java. I ran out of shipping
before I could get some people onto the island of Borneo. Maybe next turn.

This is the Manila area now. I've cleared out the north end of the island and now I'm pushing south to Manila. The Allied supply
comes from Manila so capturing it would help the take-down process a lot. It's almost necessary.

"The US Navy no longer exists in the Pacific."

BANZAI!

Now is the chance to take all the islands between the US and Australia--Fiji, Samoa, etc.

That will gain a lot of time for the Japanese player, as these will have to be retaken by the US; and I think
also that planes won't be able to fly from the US to Australia, so that Australia can't be reinforced.

Troops trying to be sent there by sea can be spotted by air patrols and intercepted.

Australia will therefore never be in as precarious a position as it is now. IOW, this should spell Australia's doom.
And delay the Allied march to Tokyo, by forcing them to divert and retake Australia.

But this can only be accomplished in the next six months or so, before the allies launch new fleets.

I hear you Chatttez dude. I agree on all that verbage and I'm planning on invading close to Darwin and drive south.

The Chattez dude must be drunk on Saki with Japanese "Victory Disease."

Australia will never be Japanese. It is already too late to cut off Australia from Pearl Harbor. With the defensive genius of MacArthur, allied victory is assured! (MacArthur was ordered out to plan the allied offensives by FDR and he went out by air to Australia.)

Soon, he shall return. Probably while Manila is still in allied hands.

This is what lower Malaya and Borneo look like now. I dropped some paratroops on Palembang and got the supply point for
the island. Or one of them. So the take-down of Sumatra has started.

I captured Andaman island and I busted a hole in the Allied line in northern Malaya so maybe I can get the advance
moving again.

This is the Port Moresby area now. Tom has moved one of his spotter planes to an island I own and I think it shows
initiative and resourcefulness and guttsyness. Good opponent.

This is Ceylon now. I'm always looking for opportunities and Ceylon looks like it might just be one. I can reach that ship from
Adaman island with my Nells and I can dispatch one of the CV's that still can carry fighters for air cover for the operation and
if the Allies are almost out of ships there might not be much of a show stopper. Unless I'm missing something. I'd better do a
recon of the situation some more.

This is the Rangoon area now. I hasten to add that Rangoon isn't empty as you see it.....there's Allied stuff there it's just
not observable due to my not having a land combat unit adjacent and the ships don't observe into ports anymore. D'oh.
I can do a recon by bombing to get a list of the equipment in the hex however. There's probably a huge buildup there
already. I'm going to need more people to take the place.

This is a picture of Malaya now. I have five divisions in Malaya now and it evidently isn't enough. Maybe another paratroop drop
is in order. I could drop some paratroops behind the Allied lines and block all the supply to them maybe.

Here's a picture of south China now. I'm repairing the railroad between Peiping and Saigon so that I can rail units back and
forth to take advantage of mobility of the units. I can probably defeat the Chinese half at a time with the units I have on hand
so I'm going to try to get some of them to just hold tight and some of them to fight on. I haven't decided to clear out the north
or the south first. I'm leaning toward clearing out the north first because it seems easier and quicker.

I isolated Singapore by sea with a cordon of ships to prevent Allied reinforcement via the sea. Most of those ships
are tired and worn out and need refit but I need them on station right now. Maybe I can replace them with some
fresh ships.

I put the same kind of blockade around Port Moresby. I plan to bomb and bombard and straffe etc. a lot before I try to go ashore.
Also, Tom said something about trying to come across the mountains with some combat troops. I'll have to try that too.

I found a bunch of Allied ships hiding at Melborne. They proport to be BB's and at least one of them IS. I'm going to have to find a
CV somewhere to deal with these ships because I don't have but one BB left and it's not handy at the moment. I DO have a CV
handy however so I shall dispatch it postwith.

I drove a CV TF too close to the east coast of OZ and something, I presume his bombers, attacked my CV and defeated
the fighters I was carrying ( they are gone now ) and I note some severe damage on both the CV's in the group. I'll
have to retreat and let the CV's refit and find a carrier capable fighter group to ride on the Akagi to replace the fighters
that were lost.
