Communique to the Soviets

The Imperial Government of Japan continues to view Soviet protestations of innocence regarding submarine incursions into Japanese waters as being mere subterfuge designed to allow for the continuation of clandestine operations. Today the Soviet Submarine L-9 activated our defensive minefield in the harbour of Hakodate. Soviet naval incursions into sovereign Japanese waters will continue to be viewed as hostile and will be dealt with appropriately.

Kremlin

Stalin read the communique, crumbled it and threw it to the floor. He asked the admiral in charge of submarine forces what this was all about and the response was that it appeared that a training cruise made a navigational error.

Thought I might look at things a little differently this month and focus on the areas of activity rather than my overstretched lines of conquest. First up is the area around Karachi. The British are building a nest of vipers which will become difficult to contain before too long I expect.

I've come this far so I intend on capturing Rawalpindi and accepting the surrender of these 6 units. After that it will be time to work on consolidating a defensive line and holding it into '43.

Mangalore is currently getting attention. There is 1 Indian division holed up here and I plan on surrounding the town before attacking... I want this division off the board.

Calcutta is a prize I may have left for too long. No idea what units are here and how high the fort level is. It certainly looks intimidating with all those water features guarding the way in. If Todd allows me the time I will have a crack at it but the hard part will be doing this and keeping the Karachi vipers at bay.
