CW rebase two fighters to Belgium/France. USSR concentrate their entire air force in the Leningrad region.

No reorganization.

The new weather roll is a four and fine weather everywhere except rain in the Northern Moonsoon region.

All three powers take a land and the Germans use an Offensive Chit (von Rundstedt).

The Germans bring in a Stuka and a Heinkel to try and ground strike Antwerp.

How do the CW respond?

Odds are 2:1. The CW need just 4 points to make it 1:1. The Germans bring in a Henschel and and 2x Me-109 as escort. They have three more fighters that can reach. Do the CW want to respond?

Status: offline 		I see that you used a armoured unit in the attack. That effectively added four points in defence if you include the extra shore bombardment. Didn't Germany have any infantry available?

The Germans re-organise a Stuka and Me-109 and re-base a couple of fighters forward. The Italians re-base a fighter to Bardia.

Status: offline 		The two scenarios are completely and utterly different.

1. In Fall Gelb your stated aim was the fall of France without using an Offensive Chit. You said it was a failure if you used one. I was exploring what that meant. Under that scenario I would imagine using one in Belgium would be justified if it guaranteed a key result e.g. Antwerp. BUT IT COULD NOT. There was no +1. A throw of one would have wasted all that work and the hit on US Entry by doing Fall Gelb. I wondered what else could be done (e.g. Brussels).

2. As far as this game is concerned, while far from over, I am already an Offensive Chit down, the Med war is going badly, I've only just managed to win an air battle for the first time on the western front, China is going badly too and the CW have two HQ in France and were settled behind the Dyle. I have had no real choice but to throw caution to the wind - I have used the second Offensive Chit on the basis I had a +2 on Antwerp (and tried hard for a third). If it failed, well I had lost nothing as I have lost if I cannot get past the Dyle anyway.

Status: offline 		No, Fall Gelb is not a failure if you use an O-chit. The (my) stated aim (primary objective) for Fall Gelb is the take down of France by the end of M/J'40. My secondary objective is to do the above without using an O-chit.

As for this game, it is fairly common in my face to face group (and in the WiFcons I've been to) for the CW to have both HQ's in France and to have as big a commitment as possible (best units, etc...). I'm sorry to hear about your air to air battles...that really sucks and will definitely hinder your progress no matter what you try to do. Another residual effect of Fall Gelb is that you get rid of France so the Battles for Med. goals can be undertaken. When I play Italy...I try to keep the Italian fleet as quiet as possible...avoiding the chance of French naval encounters. As France I try to do the opposite...every Italian naval unit sunk by the French is like gold, I play very loose with the French fleet...if they get sunk who cares...so long as they take Italians with them. China...well I don't think anyone knows what is good/better/bad/worse there...I'm really looking forward to playing that theatre!

Status: offline 		In order to advance the game I decide that Italy decline to use their submarines. As it turned out it had no relevance since both sides failed to find. (CW roll 9 and Italy 5)

CW decline to search in the Italian Coast and the North Sea.

But CW decide to initiate combat in the Eastern Mediterranean. Will Italy send out their fighter to support their navy?

Not that it mattered: Both sides failed to find. CW rolled a 6 and Italy a 8.

Will Germany initiate combat in the North Sea? Edit: With Warspite1 offline, I decline on his behalf.
