Thank Karaganov
You draw a stunning maps.

@McNeil
I very much hope that the developers will be able to implement something like that in Soviet Corps. Enough of you to mark time in the same place. It is time to move forward

I want to play single scenarios on big and beautiful maps

Svetlanka,
you have to understand, that AI is very blunt even on small maps
so no one will do single scenarios for big maps

Svetlanka,
you have to understand,

That this is only part of the big map
After Karaganov draws a map completely, he will make a new scenario for it

We think it would be great to implement the following scenarios for multiplayer

Battle for the Minsk, 1941
Battle for the Dubno, 1941
Battle for the Odessa, 1941
Battle for the Tallin, 1941
Battle for the Smolensk, 1941
Battle for the Kiev, 1941
Battle for the Murmansk, 1941
Battle for the Crimea, 1941
Battle for the Leningrad, 1941
Battle for the Moscow, 1941

What do you think about it?

For me it is important to keep it under control as much as possible

Base of Tendra is still under my control

Because of this I am able to deliver their convoys to the ports of Crimea

I think that I will have 30-40 moves to correctly position the troops

About the new map
I see a couple of small bugs
1. You need to add the name to the lake near the settlement ТАЙНО (Озеро Тайно)
2. You need to add the name to the lake in the north of the map, in the north-east from the settlement ПОРЕЧЬЕ (Озеро Веровское)

after 70 moves

My troops have broken away from the enemy, and took up positions on the line Sevastopol - Crimean mountains - Akmonaysky Isthmus

Due to the fact that I was holding for a long time under the control of the railway, all of my divisions have kept fighting capacity.

Since the enemy continues to redeploy its troops, I have the time to top up their units and arrange reserves.

Soon, the fun begins

The last defenders of Odessa arrive in Sevastopol

German troops noticed to the west from Karasubazar
http://www2.pic-upload.de/img/29057811/screen-022.jpg

The new line of defense

http://www2.pic-upload.de/img/29057827/screen-027.jpg

http://www2.pic-upload.de/img/29058003/screen-034.jpg
http://www2.pic-upload.de/img/29058007/screen-035.jpg

In my opinion it is a gross mistake of the opponent. He managed to concentrate a lot of troops on the narrow Arabat Spit. I hope that my aircrafts and ships of the Azov flotilla will create many problems for him.

The enemy launched another assault on Tendra
Without the support of fighter aircraft, I can not stay there for long.
But in any case - Tendra was reliable shield for naval convoys from Odessa

@Brazenman are you playing this as a MP game or against the AI?

Btw, looking at the pics I wonder if certain unit types shouldn`t be present in less numbers or at all. For example:

105 mm (4.13 in) leFH 18/3 auf Gw B-1/B-2 740(f) - only 13 were produced so I wonder if it justifies having two full strength units on the same map.
http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/france/char_B1_bis.php

ADGZ - the Austrians only made 27 of them and the Germans another 25 starting with 1942, but they seem to have been mostly used in the Balkans for security operations:
http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/nazi_germany/Austrian_ADGZ.php

The Romanian OA vz.30 - in March 1939 9 Czechoslovak OA vz.30 crossed the border into Romania, but there is no evidence that they were ever used in combat (as opposed to security of industrial sites in the country), let alone of any use on the eastern front.

I guess it all depends on how much variety and liberty of action you want to enable on this scenario.

Now I play on the hot seat against fellow workers when we have free time. With me is working a former officer of missile forces. And I'm I play against him now. Sometimes I play multiplayer, but I had too weak opponents. It was a very difficult scenario for them.

You're right, it's probably not very historical, but Karaganov has a very poor choice of units for such a large-scale scenario.

I think that the guys wanted to use them as mountain guns
Germany has no mountain guns

It was necessary to strengthen the combat capability of the Sicherungs Divisions

We needed a reconnaissance unit for the Romanian divisions.
There was simply no choice

In my opinion, lacks many units
machine-gun battalions (Soviet and German)
mortar battalions (Soviet and German)
signals battalion (Soviet and German)
German security battalions
German police battalions
Soviet battalions of airfield support
Soviet NKVD battalions
mountain artillery battalions (Soviet and German)

And I'm not talking about the the soviet artillery.

I see. I was curious how would the AI handle all those fortifications and multiple defense lines.

quote:

Mountain guns ought to be added to both germans and soviets, along with mountain transports. I think they`re among the few factions that don`t have any currently. Which is odd.

The only vehicle used for that purpose in the Romanian army (before the Germans delivered some armoured cars at Stalingrad) was the R-1 tankette which was part of the cavalry divisions. In my files I`ve set it as a recon even though it`s not great at that because of its low speed/movement value. The other option would be to put the motorcyclists in the recon class.
