Back from outer space...good morning!!

Welcome back, fellow AE'er. Hope all is well.

Thanks, not 100% because of some health problems, but iam shure i will master that:-)

Get better soon, Odin.

On the hopefully low likelihood that you *don't* get better soon, please consider a PBEM CG with me. We don't have to play far in it if you don't want to, we just need to start.

Thanks all for the welcome!

My problem is Nothing new...ist called sleep apnea.

This means i am snoring heavy over the night and even STOP breathing.

It seems i had this problem my whole life, i never was rested in the morning...i´ve taken this lightly.

That was possible as long as i was young...but now with 45 iam a walking death, always tired, stressed, and even faced seconds sleep on desk even with the coffee cup on hand...thats no fun.

That finally gets me to doctor.

As for the invitation for PBEM, thank you!!

I need some time to remmeber the game, i will tell you!

Busy times at work continue, which is seriously cutting into my Matrix forum time.

Life on this end is as grand as ever, though. Living the dream.

Hope all of my Thread Brothers are also happy and healthy.

Hi all,

After absolutely warmest October in history (we had temperatures above +0 degrees Centigrade almost all time) the November is following the same pattern... yesterday and today it will be also above +20 degrees Centigrade...

How is the weather in your parts of the world guys?

Hi Leo,

We've actually had a very nice Autumn here in North Carolina. Just this past weekend, we had our first overnight frost. Pretty typical for our area. It's going to be a little cooler than average for the next week or so, but still daily high temperatures of 50+ F.

-10º C this morning (about 17ºF). The river outside my window was moving fast a week ago from all the heavy rain we had in the last 6 weeks. About November 2 the overnight temps dropped down to -5º C and did not get above freezing during the day. Small cakes of ice started to appear on the river, still moving fast. Next day it was pans of ice about 3 feet wide. Then large pans of ice about 10' wide, moving more slowly.

Today when I got up the pans of ice were 10-30 feet across and moving slowly. Two hours later the ice cakes have jammed together, covering the river except for a few spots where a gap between ice pans did not fill in. Interesting to watch the process, but much too fast and too soon for my liking
