Great band. IIRC weren't they Canadian?

Yes, but they were good at takin' care of business.

Remember the Winnipeg band "Guess Who" - the one that sang "American Woman" ? When they broke up, Randy Bachman and Fred Turner formed BTO and worked out of Toronto. IMO, BTO's music was even better than Guess Who's music. Of course, Canadians heard a lot more of their music than other countries because of a policy that required at least 10% Canadian artist content in broadcasts.

If I recall correctly, "American Woman" as because of a broken guitar string at a curling club.

Some American woman should write a song, "Canadian Man - stay away from me, goodbye Canadian man".

Well, Lynard Skynard (SP?) took a shot at one Canadian (at the time) in their hit "Sweet Home Alabama"... I'll let you find the reference yourself.

A good shot it was too. I think that it was well deserved.

Well the snow has started. This will screw up the Island for the next few days.

Work has an image problem. It needs to hire a high profile consultant and rebrand itself.

Well, someone who works in the metal health field asked me what do "work" and "play" have in common. I told him that they were both four letter words and can be quite dirty at times. He did not like that. I guess that he wanted something like "The are both verbs" or "They are both activities." How was I supposed to know that he as testing my English communication skills?
