Privacy is nice. Although, being in walking, or cycling, distance from a grocery shop is nice as well.

Shopping for groceries nearly every day is a European thing. Over here the pioneers taught us to "stock up" to deal with the distance to get supplies, and the uncertainty of the weather that may make cycling difficult. I went to the "Big Box" retailer Costco yesterday to get large quantity supplies to last me about two months. It was -31ºC - there was no way I was going by bicycle!

Only two months worth of supplies . . . ?

Or are you going to stock up more if Northeastern North Dakota and Northwestern Minnesota in the USA get heavy snowfalls before the really nice weather that they are having now ends?

I may have to go grocery shopping there again just to get out of the apartment! I had trouble starting my car last week because I had not been out for two weeks and the security system slowly drains the battery.

Don't forget the ispropyl alcohol additive for your fuel cell that has stored solar energy in it.

It is not the must for shopping often that makes it nice to have a store close by. It is the option of doing so. And making it a target for a walk. And the ability to shop without the need for a car is nice as well.

And if it is -31ºC, then I take the kicksled. Been shopping with a kicksled plenty of times. I suspect it was even colder that that once. Although it was sunny (if my memory serves).

We will be a 5 minute drive from the closest "convenience" store and 15 minutes drive from the nearest grocery store. Living closer to the stores around here means it is just too "peopley" for us. Where we are now is physically closer to stores, but the drive time is still at least 10 minutes, with lots more idiots to deal with every day. We will have neighbors on one side of our property and cows on the other side.

Cows make nice neighbors. They only party when the farmer is gone.

Good rainy Saturday afternoon - Tithe.

Being on a 3 day weekend helps offset the rain, however.

Here in Ohio we are waiting on not one but two snow storms this coming week. Probably means rain for you....GP

Yeah, rain off and on for most of this coming week, but then it looks like it will dry up for a while in the long range forecast.

Snow usually means that it is getting warmer. I like snow. Put some frozen concentrate lemonade with it and enjoy eating that in front of people . . .

Or shaved ice instead of snow, along with a twisted tootsie roll candy added for looks. Melt the candy and thin the ends . . .

Enjoying the tropical temperatures, the nice sun as I kick back with my Sweetie. Some high clouds are off in the distance but I don't think that they will bring any rain to the area . . .

Ranger Joe.

You hooked me on the Winged Hussars, et.al. But I can't actually play a wargame without watching their videos at the same time. I need better abilities to multi-manage things.

That said though, I listen on the way to work, so beware if you are on Highway 65 at 0700L...
