Recently, it's been way too muddy and wet out there to do much. The soil is mostly clay, so it doesn't absorb the rain or snow melt very quickly, and remains gooey for a couple of days. When more grass grows in, it will get better, and when we have the pool built, some grading and drainage work will need to be done at the same time.

I did cut down my first tree a week or so ago! Just a little guy of about 12 feet and 3 inches in diameter, but it already had 4 inch long thorns/spikes on it. 1 down, 10,000 to go!

I wish! But, alas, no. I'm on the waiting list to join a shooting club with great facilities that is 4 miles from the house. Hope to get the call in March.

I was also in a nursing home recovering when I joined, then I went to assisted living. So I had few responsibilities . . .
