Sailors are smart enough to get out before ending up like this. During Desert Storm, we actually had a situation similar to this. An A-6E had a hydraulic system failure just after landing. No steering or brakes. Rolled slowly toward the edge of the deck at the waist catapults, the pilot an BN ejected and landed on the deck, and the plane rolled off the edge and caught on the catwalk, nose down. We ended up pushing it over to clear the way for other planes to land.
