Hey man....if you put that much thought and planning and follow-up into your garden hoses I don't recommend changing vehicles!!

oops...directed to the green lizard not Feltman

Can you ever get enough of a great garden hose story?

I've seen reports that they all fail in time. Every garden hose I ever had failed, but the old style was repairable. However, my property is 200' long and about 50' wide on average. If I want to water everything in the back yard I need 75' minimum. If I want to wash a vehicle in the garage or the alley behind I have to add a 50' hose to a 75' hose. The problem is I'm getting old and rolling up those old fashioned and very heavy hoses and carrying them around makes me consider living in an apartment. These shrink hoses are just great as far as that goes.

Get a hose reel, lizard. It helps a lot. Make it a wheeled one and connect the flexi one from your water spigot to the reel for additional maneuverability.

+1 And maintain both the cart and the hoses. Buy good quality , keep extra washers on hand , and keep the hose out of the sun in summer , and out of the cold in winter. I've had a good rubber hose go twenty years or more. The cart is the same thing. Get a heavy metal one with pneumatic tires. Keep everything clean and the tires full of air. In the spring time (when you take it out of winter storage) tighten everything up and paint or lube any bare metal. Do this ten minute job , and the cart should last decades , not years. <mine has. And it's easier to crank the hose in then to haul it around. Believe me, no one is lazier than I , but it pays off in the end.

Jack Andy dies

I don't know how many baseball fans here remember him, but he was greatly loved in St. Louis. Joaquin Andujar was the last Cardinals pitcher to have back to back 20 win seasons. One game Whitey Herzog pulled him after he gave up 12+ runs. Joaquin sat down in the dugout next to Whitey (which is unusual after you've just been taken out of a game). Their conversation: WH "What's wrong?" JA "The catcher is having a terrible day." WH "I'll say, he didn't manage to catch even one of your fastballs!"

So, how long do you think it will take for Gloria Allred to bring the case Moon v Earth to court?

What do attorneys have to do with the moon shrinking?

For full disclosure, my SO is an attorney...

I'm sure she's a lot prettier than the aforementioned lawyer who wishes to represent the Moon in this matter.

I don't know what Allred's level of attractiveness has to do with her legal competency. I don't think many people would say something like that about male lawyers. Personally, if I need an attorney, I don't care if they are attractive or not (or male or female for that matter). I'm only concerned about their competency to handle my case.

I know you were joking, but the joke is one of those which is funny only to those who believe a certain way about her. Even for those of us neutral on the issue it isn't very funny.

It might be a good idea to drop this line of discussion. It's a bit too close to modern politics.

Bill
