David,Paul : I know you're working on this, but I feel the need to raise to your attention again the problem,as it's few weeks now that the preorder phase is running: the problem(bug?) of shipping/handling costs when ordering multiple stuffs. I tried again few minutes ago:1 CD = 15.5 usd shipping cost, 2 CD = 31 usd,etc.... We are three people here ready to order some CD's and shirts, but not so keen to see the shipping costs multiplied by the number of items ordered:we want to give our money to you,not to USPS ! That's why we're still abstaining to place our order. If somebody thinks I'm off topic here, well, making for people to order Matrix products easier, IT IS a good way to deal with Spwaw future.... Anxiously waiting to place my order...

T shirts are good. Coffee/beer mugs are better. I am willing to pay $20.00 US for an autographed coffee mug.

I really would like to see Matrix doing well, so I'm little curious about how many copies of MC has been ordered, that is if Matrix can give out that info...

With all this talk of SPWAW going commercial and sales of Mega Campaigns, is there any thought of future "commercial" development of the "Modern Version" of SPWAW. Will Campaigns be sold for this game also Once it is released? To me this would be an attraction to another group of wargamers, and thus add another degree of marketing to Matrix.

In addition to buying the game, I'd pay extra for the design tools for the mega campaigns. I do know that the work involved is large, but so is the commitment of the playerbase here. I've seen some excellent campaigns created by just one person in my time with SPWAW and I believe that a group of them could easily handle putting together a first rate mega campaign. ;)

Scalability would be a feature valued by me. I always prefered the SP3 scale and it would be a waste(also improbable) to rewrite the game again to that scale. In fac, scalability would be my single most desired feature in World at War. It would also get more sales to those who want an SP3 scale. Just another great idea from Matrix Games.

David, T-shirts, baseball caps, or coffee mugs/cups. I would buy one of each, but if just one, I prefer the cap. Bascom :D

Since there has been some talk about a redo of SP3, how about this idea. Redo SP3 using the huge maps of SPWAW and increase the zoom level to four levels. The first 3 levels would be as they are in SP3, the last zoom-in level would zoom in to one of the levels of SPWAW. In this way you could deploy platoons as you do in SP3 now, and then you would have the option with zoom level 4 to go to squad level and individual vehicle level combat as we do in SPWAW! In this way you can conduct operational level manuever at the higher levels, and still be able to resolve individual tactical combat!! The first 3 levels would be at the scale of 200 yds per hex, and level 4 would be at the 50 yds per hex. This would all be possible using the larger scale maps as in SPWAW. I think this would give you the best of operational combat as well as tactics. Most games have just one or the other. What do you guys think? :) Semper Fi Randy

Wow, why didn't I see this thread earlier? This is how I would have responded earlier had I seen it: David H: What you originally posted concerning the ongoing development of SPWAW sounds perfect. Absolutely perfect, in my view. It would be fantastic to have a slightly smaller scale with updated graphics. The graphics in SPWAW aren't horrible, but the unit icons definitely need updating. You guys have done a tremendous job with the original SP engine...in fact I'm not sure I could compare it to the original. The level of detail and realism you guys have added (which equates with fun for me) is comparable to 'Tigers on the Prowl' by HPS Simulations. Yes! Please do continue SPWAW development if the sales for the Mega Campaign product are up to par. Keeping the hexes and the IGOUGO system is just perfect. Instead of trying to make this game a fancy RTS title, work on the AI and the game engine (as I already said, a graphics update would really help as well) I've already purchased Mega Campaigns via pre-order. I wish you guys all the best with your sales! Thank you for listening to us! :)

Hey, I just read through the whole thread and saw the t-shirt idea. Yes! Put me down for two (2)!! I'd be happy to support your efforts any way I can. I'll even buy Combat Leader even though that isn't as near and dear to my heart as SP:WAW.
