05. May/June 1940. The Western Front.

Not a good turn for the Germans on the Western Front. Minimal gains were made.

05. May/June 1940. Eastern Med. Egypt and Libya.

The only success by the RN this turn was a narrow victory in the Eastern Med against the Italian RM. Also, the British 8th army pushes into Eastern Libya.

05. May/June 1940. End of Turn. US Entry Options.

The USA is able gear up production from 25 to 50%. Also, for next turn, they're in position to pass the war appropriations bill which will up their production from 50 to 75%.

2. USA deletes the 1 non-resource trade with China. (Japan closed the Burma road this turn).

3. Germany agrees to send 2 non-oil and 1 oil resource to Italy.

US Gearing up the 2nd time at half 1940 is big trouble for the Axis.

They'll be soon at war, and then only the God of Uber Rolls can save the Axis.

I agree. But I think it's going to be fun to watch the fireworks, or in my case, light them.

By the way, as the axis player I'm finding that I really hate the 2D10 CRT. Maybe I just haven't learned how to properly use that table over the 1D10 CRT.

They do. These (3 CPs) were set up in the Baltic at the beginning of the game and "survived" the French sub attempt to sink them.

06. July/August 1940. Victory Totals.

No change from last turn. But, even so, this was an action pack turn. Where to start? I think I'll start in the West.

06. July/August 1940. France.

Determined to finish France this turn the Germans played both their o-chits. Germany missed this goal by 1 impulse, which would have been achieved if they had captured Paris.

The allies moved both first and last turn, which lasted a total of 9 impulses (5 allied and 4 axis).

06. July/August 1940. Algeria. The Western Med.

While not helping in the fight to take metropolitan France, il duce was happy to take Algeria from France.

In the Western Med, the French navy and RN mixed it up some with the Italian RM. Nothing decisive though.

06. July/August 1940. Eastern Med. Libya and Egypt.

The British 8th Army surrounds Tobruk but doesn't have the strength to capture it.

The Italians reinforce this area through Benghazi.

06. July/August 1940. China Sea Theater of Operations (CSTO).

Savage fighting by the communist against the Japanese in northern China and Manchuria. The Chinese communist managed to knock out Terauchi (IJA HQ) and liberate Taiyua, China. But at great cost ...

06. July/August 1940. Destroyed and Repair Pools.

The communist Chinese lost 4 army units and (the Soviets) played their only o-chit to accomplish this feat (i.e., knocking out Terauchi and capturing Taiyun.

Zuhkovo managed to capture most of Manchuria and push to the border of Korea.

The Japanese brought in Yamamoto to try to save thing in Manchuria.

06. July/August 1940. Manchuria Completely Conquered.

However, Yamomoto didn't have a full grasp of the conquest rules and now alone faces Zuhkov and the Asian Soviet Front.

Zuhkov's only hope is that the axis win the initiative in which case he can move back to port Arthur and, with a combine, see another ground unit transported there giving his and that cities defense some strength.

Oh ... if only he had fully understood the conquest rules. On the up side, I think he does now.
