FYI...

If you have Norton Security on your system, it sometimes thinks the newest version of Command.exe may be a threat. Why? Because it is so new that it does not have information about the program in its database. This actually makes a lot of sense because it keeps you from accidentally installing mal-ware, etc. If Norton does not know the software is safe, it warns you that it might not be safe.

Recently, it did this all the time when I installed the newest update to Command. Now, Norton may just stop the file from unzipping (it decides it is a threat and deletes the unzipped version). I learned this when I tried to add the newest version (736) and Command.exe mysteriously did not make it out of the .zip file.

This is very easy to fix. Just pay attention when you are unzipping the file and when Norton tells you it has removed Command.exe, go click "More Details" and tell it to restore the file. (There is probably a way to permanently add Command.exe to an exclusions list, but I haven't bothered to do that yet.)

I hope this helps.

Windows Defender does the same thing...I just tell it to ignore it.

Unfortunately Norton reputation system is prone to false positives.

This will be a lesser issue when we digitally signed the exe files in the final release version.

I use ESET Smart Security and I have never met with this problem.
